I gotta say, Netjuu no Susume didn't really click with me after the first episode, but the last two eps have been great. Main girl's motivations become more and more relatable the more focus they get, and it's fun to see her interact with characters both offline and online. I think I'll stick with this one the rest of the season.

I'm just glad the Sakura = Lily twist wasn't drawn out. It was so obvious I was worried it would be saved for right at the end and I would confused, since I forgot it was supposed to be a surprise.

"Humans are chaos"

Sangatsu no Lion is one of those anime that I can recommend to people that don't even like anime; the themes it portrays are so universal. I love how every character feels so human, and no "bad" character is truly bad at heart. It did it before with Rei's stepdad, and now we're a seeing human side of Gotou, who seemed so unsympathetic in season 1.

That being said...I really dislike Kyoko's relationship with Gotou...but I'll put my preferences aside to let the anime tell the story it wants to tell.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Imouto Sae was amusing this week. A whale shark saving his little sister with the help of a tsundere shark is totally a story I'd read. Also couldn't help but feel that the opening part was a low-key reference to Haganai; MC doing his best Kodaka impression.

It's okay cat smut doesn't need context.

Not sure if I'll be able to pick Best Girl this season. The competition is just too tough. The entire cast of Houseki no Kuni and Yuuki Yuuna are fighting.

Gate took me a few weeks to finish, but My Hero Academia season 2 took me only 1 week. Honestly some great arcs, and the MC isn't super op from the start like some anime. I really like the progression, and also I liked the showing of true power from All Might and Endeavor. Iida was slightly annoying this season, but the villain Stain makes up for him. I hope the next arc is soon, but the manga probably needs to get pretty far ahead anyways. Lastly dat face in the last episode, reminded me of a AoT Titan.

Good news, my friend, season 3 has already been confirmed.

The manga is still about seven volumes ahead, so there should be enough material for two 2-cour seasons...obviously more when the anime gets around to it. I honestly kinda prefer this seasonal format for long-running series over the endless format with filler hell.
