So for the first time in about 2 years, I've watched a lot of anime. Watched all of GATE S2, DanganRonpa S1, and a few episodes of Erased and Irregular Magical High School.

I really like 3 of those. I haven't seen DanganRonpa. Any good? Have you watched Parasyte the Maxim?

Yes, I've seen all of Parasyte. It was good.

MyAnimeList should be in my profile for things I've seen. Until recently, I only watched 1-2 episodes/month usually. So this has been a stark contrast from normal.

Man, you have a lot of stuff on your watchlist xD

Well, Punchline was awesome and you'll enjoy it, especially if you like the Zero Escape series. Noticed you finished Stardust Crusaders S1, S2 and Part 4 are great choices as well. If you finished the Danganronpa games,DR3 is airing this season. Shokugeki No Souma, Akatsuki No Yona, D-Frag, Kiniro Mosaic, etc. Got a lot of good series there, only a few duds that you shouldn't try like Big Order or Dimension W, but for the most part, you have a lot of good anime there to choose from.

Btw, I would have never guessed that you read No Bra too :) that was one of the first mangas I ever read. Loved it

Big Order was actually quite entertaining due to the fact that it was something new story wise. Had a couple nice elements to it but was held back due to mediocre direction. Dimension W is absically the opposite, pretty good direction and quality with a meh cast and story, still worth to check it out.

Punchline however was quite meh. If you're looking for something special, try Rolling Girls instead.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

So the Berserk was eehh ok I guess. Watched the first three episodes. The animation isn't the greatest wish they would have gone a different route. I'll continue watching hopefully it gets better as the season goes on.

I'm just going to say put yourself in his position. cause if you think after seeing everyone you love dead, that you'll be able to think rationally you're insane. You're missing the entire point if you expect him to act rationally cause he's already broken. Any HUMAN would be. You get transported to an alternate world no clue how you got there and get killed just to repeat it over again. There is only so much you can take until you break which subaru did.  After what happened to Rem he's now pissed beyond reason and only cares about one thing, destryong the witch's cult, in other words he's blinded by hatred and still can't think rationally.

I was talking about him in the overall sense. He's not a rational person for the most part but he needs to be. Personally, I'm a kind of a cold person and i don't like emotional people (overly emotional to me). From day 1, he's been too busy trying to get into Emilia's good graces and be chubby with her inner circle that he often doesn't think until he dies or made a mistake. It's evident during the "Return to the capital" and "Self-proclaimed knight natsuki" episodes.

I'm not blaming him for snapping after what happened in the newer episodes but alot of the difficulty he faces comes from his own choices during the periods of peace or periods in between deaths. Wearing a tracksuit, knowing he's going to go into a life or death situation is just idiotic. Use a bit of that big bag of coin to buy some equipment instead of hiring a bunch of wagons knowing they'll likely get attacked.

One of the reasons why I expect him to think more rationally is because he knows he can reset back a few days after he dies, he should have become somewhat desensitized to dying and his friends dying. He knows it's not set in stone. To make the most use of his ability, he needs to think but he doesn't. My guess is that he was selected by whatever brought him there because he's not that bright and he could be manipulated easily.

... I.. I don't... Subaru has been broken for a while now and Emilia was the one thing that kept him going, she technically turned her back on him during that time which was the final straw breaking his sanity. He is currently mad. (btw the lap pillow scene is when he started to worship her as a person who will always understand him) Again, you can't expect him to be sane after what he has gone through. Imagine dying over and over again and reawakening back in hell. He can't escape it by dying cause he just respawns and he is forced to go through this over and over again. He broke more than once, each time falling further and further into despair. You seriously can't expect anybody in this world to be sane after that.  Logical thinking for him is gone right now.

I find Thunderbolt Fantasy very refreshing, I love the concept and the melting of genre. Reminds me of some 80s shows like XOR and Thunderbirds. The added special effects are very cool.

It's exactly like saying Okabe should be totally fine when you-know-who dies again and again in Steins;Gate because he will be able to go back. He broke too, and at least as much as Subaru (if you play the game instead of watching the anime, you know he breaks even more than Subaru and thinks about killing and raping his friends). It's a lot easier to say "you should be desentized to your friends dying" than to do it, especially when it keeps happening and never in a sane/clean way. The first loop in the city was already hard for a random normal guy ("Hi! Let's cut your guts a few times!"), the manor loop was awful... He thought rationally once and commited suicide (to save Remu, after she tortured and killed him), but it kept going downhill from there. The Betelgeuse loop is just disgusting, even for the viewer, so it's obvious Subaru can't think straight and coldly at this moment after all that happened to him. He's in Hell and can't escape it, having the power to live through it again doesn't make things better.

Well, I still kept up with shows I wanted to watch or things that were recommended. So, there are a ton of things that I want to watch on their just for me to keep track since I stopped watching so much.

I had a friend come over and we watched the first five episodes of Shinsekai yori...

It may happening again.

If he doesn't start using his brain, he's gonna be far worse off and all of his friends will be dead by the end of the anime. He's a thoughtless type of person which why I don't like him. Well before his sanity started to unravel a bit, he had plenty of time to use his brain but no, he didn't. He was busy trying to get that chick to like him. He hasn't put ANY serious thought into how he got there or why. I understand that to some he's incapable of thinking beyond the first obvious step because of what he went through but he's prefectly sane. Is he starting to lose it? Yes but it's no excuse.

Also, there's many different kinds of people who react very differently to any situation. He's basically a very average self-centered person who's not that smart.

Anyone watching Mob Psycho? Everyone seems to be talking about it.
