Could you guys use spoilers bar if you're gonna talk about what happened in latest Re: zero episode, please. I haven't watched it yet.

Boo cliffhangers

I'll just do the same thing I did with ERASED and wait for the final episode of Re Zero to come out and binge it all :P

Well, you only have 16 weeks to go. Maybe next season will distract you well enough to conveniently forget about it until we're all doing our end of season reviews.

I'm looking forward to quite a bit next season, so I think I can manage ;)

So, what's the deal with anime main characters not bringing weapons with them when they're heading into certain danger?

Anyway, Re:Zero is like walking through molasses.  It takes so long to get anywhere, even when you can see everything from a mile away.  We knew it was the puppy forever ago.  We knew she was an oni.  These episodes feel like it's the main character talking most of the time and then a little bit of plot development at the end.  It's like a soap opera, kinda.  I wanted to smack him when he decided to have a nice conversation when he was supposedly in a hurry to save that little girl.  It's very "take two steps forward, then one step back."

God, please don't let him die.  I don't want to watch him flounder through the same stuff anymore.

Transformation scene was nice, though.  The sisters are interesting.  Also, Beatrice remains the highlight for me.

Watching Log Horizon now, and am on episode 10.

It isn't too bad, though I heard season 2 had pacing issues. Going to take a break after I watch the first season and come back.

It isn't so much pacing issues as an absence of plot development. Season two felt really pointless in a lot of ways. I still tecnically have the last three or so episodes to watch because I finally got bored and stopped watching as seemingly none of the major driving plot elements from season one came over to season two. It's mostly a lot of the question "why".

"Why" did they make a second season as long as the first with less source material?
"Why" did they abandon so many plot elements from season one with such reckless abandon?
"Why" is it so hard for them to maintain a respectable female character?

Finally found time to get to last season's animes I haven't finished yet. Just finished Haikyuu. Really is the best sports anime I have ever seen if you don't count Saki. 9/10

ugh, Japan really needs to get some foreign voice actors.

I know they have that American guy in Kabaneri, but the amount of 'English' teachers that just completely butcher the language is way too high!

Do you really think that english in Japan is mostly taught by foreigners?

In Kdramas, especially, there is almost always the character who "has been living in New York" but is now returning to inject more drama. Along with that, there is always the scene where they speak English in order to show off. Sometimes they speak pretty well but other times it's borderline unintelligible. It makes me snicker.

Of course, now and then, there is someone like the main character in Myung Wol the Spy who made me do a double take because her English was perfect. I thought it was fake until I looked her up and found out she was originally from LA.

Some of you will remember some complaints I posted regarding the downfall of Shounen? It's getting worse...

Most hilarious is Japanese voice acting black or extremely nordic looking characters.

Which I guess is why they make anime characters look so anime.
