It isn't so much pacing issues as an absence of plot development. Season two felt really pointless in a lot of ways. I still tecnically have the last three or so episodes to watch because I finally got bored and stopped watching as seemingly none of the major driving plot elements from season one came over to season two. It's mostly a lot of the question "why".
"Why" did they make a second season as long as the first with less source material?
"Why" did they abandon so many plot elements from season one with such reckless abandon?
"Why" is it so hard for them to maintain a respectable female character?
