What common case? Actually moe has never ever anything to do with sexualization.

"Moe" is just slang for adoration of a character if you want to get technical and it can also lead to intimate feelings ...

Intimate feelings that have nothing to do with sex. If a moe character is presented sexually then that's just sex on top of moe but is not caused by moe. It's two completely different things.

Both moe and fanservice are tools which can be applied freely. That's why animes that have the biggest focus on moe barely employ any fanservice.

@Bold Does it matter when it's related ?

At this point it gets harder to track defines with respect to usage ...

It's not hard to define when it's most often used without added sexual undertones. Moe is not only defined through looks, half of it is behavior and moe behavior is never sexual. You can find a character moe or sexy, not sexy because of moe and not moe because sexy. If there is a character that is both then it's separated and has nothing to do with each other. Correlation =/= Causation.

It's the same fallacy as people thinking that fan service does make bad animes when it's just bad animes that employ the most fanservice.

What trend ? What exactly seperates Dragons Rioting from being another High School DxD clone ?

Is this some kind of discrete camera show?

You must be very confused on what "moe" actually is because Mira's design doesn't exactly represent a sexualized prepubescent girl ...

What you're literally bitching about is "fanservice" ...

Oh I know my anime archetypes pretty well...

Moe isn't defined through anything really when all it boils down to is "adoration for a character" so you don't even need appearance or behaviour if you really want to get arbitrary about it ...

Context matters ...

Why would any of the posts here suggest that ?

I'm almost certain I knew what you were treading on when you used the word "moe" to describe Mira but since the cat's out of the bag I know you won't owe up to it ...

BTW, your personally revered Dragons Rioting has the so called "fanservice" that you despise much from modern anime's so are you going to change your opinion now ?

Neko guys > Neko Girls!

Well back to this week's Poll!!!!! If you were put into an anime and needed to CHOOSE a DERE Type, what would you be?

Since im a guy, I personally want to be a Kuudere! Kuudere guys in anime are HOT AS FUCK!!!!!

I had heard it wasn't very good, and it sounds like even at this price, I'm giving it a pass. A shame since the DS game was so much fun (especially with the aid of the quality fan translation patch).

Yeah...unless it gets more fun further in, it's kinda hard to defend it as anything but fanservice for Jump fans. I do like the random dialogue (mostly with the comedy characters), and that it has the original voice actors for characters with a current or recent anime series, though.

Speaking of which, I'm not a huge Dragonball fan... and so my only exposure to DBZ was through the dub when I was a kid. I had no idea how horrible Goku's Japanese voice is. What in the actual hell.

Tell me about it, I'm a huge dbz fan (favorite anime when I was a kid) and when I first heard his japanese voice...I couldn't believe it, especially growing up with the cool sounding English dub. That's why I try to stay away from the subbed version as much as possible. (Super and J stars don't help...)

If nekopara(visual novel)taught me anything, it's that cat girls are best girls.(can't send pic since I'm on my phone :( )
