Damn, he actually did it! Also kudos for finding the best Puchiko gif :)

Too bad that most of the people here will never know the awesomness of her :(

Yeah, sorry it took so long. I have time consuming research at my University so I completely forgot about it with how busy I've been :P

My bad, by Spring I meant the upcoming anime season. Those are current season, which was Winter. This is the listing for Spring:

http://anichart.net/spring

Maybe we should wait with that list for at least 2 weeks to determine which animes are actually good.
I also think new IPs should get preferential treatment before direct sequels.

Yeah, I wasn't planning on making the post now. There isn't much footage for the GIFs anyway, and like you said, quality is no guarantee. I would like to get a feel for what people are most anticipated for, though.

I agree with you on the new IPs getting preferential treatment. Maybe 3 new IPs and 2 sequels get GIFs? I think that might be a good balance.

Hello everyone, welcome to uran10's winter anime write up where he writes his opinion on all of the anime this will include the 2nd half of all the shows I was watching in the fall(well I'll talk about the entire season since this is my first write up) as well. Well today I'll start write about some of the ones that I'm more positive about.

Yowamushi Pedal: Grande Road: If you've been in this thread for the past couple weeks, you'll realise that I'm always speaking about this one, in fact its even in my sig. Now let's talk about how this show is. The first thing I can say is if you've seen the 1st season, this season picks up exactly where it left off, near the end of the 2nd day of Interhigh and the 1st 3 episodes sets the tone for this anime. It is a lot of cycling action, backstory and fun! I have never been more hyped for  a show for in a while. The main character is not as present as in the 1st seasonn but that's all for a good reason, this allows Yowapeda to highlight every other main character and opponent and everything. Every single character gets a backstory and an explanation. Even the characters you hate at the start you'll grow to love and respect them once you see there full story. The combination of cycling and backstory is amazing. You'll go from seeing amazing exaggerated techniques to backstory and back in one minute. Backstory can be both good and bad in this though as it can sometimes take away from the action. However the last few episodes of the season has not disappointed me with the main character coming back and even havign some serious BA moments. If you're a fan of shonen anime and nakama spirit, Yowapeda will be a good anime for you and you might even find yourself rooting for the opposite team. I really do love this show and I really hope we get a 2nd season, this anime is currently 23 episodes in with the final episode left that will conclude the 3rd and final day of interhigh and reveal whose bike crossed the finish line first. Don't let it being a sports anime turn you off, it really and truly is one of the greatest anime I have ever watched and is truly underrated.

Expect Maria the Virgin which write up On Sunday,

Expect Assassination classroom write up this friday.

Also, which animes would you guys like to see in the top 5 list for Spring?

1) Fate/ STay Night: UBW

2) Nisekoi Season 2

3) Yamadakun to Nananin no Majo ( manga was really good! )

4) Ore Monogatari

5) Shougeki no Souma

I have a total 15 animes, which i found intresting, judging from the art style, the synopsis and the trailers. I'll most likely drop like 1/3 of them, or put them on hold just like this season ( i had like 3 i watch every week, but then i had like 6 on hold )

Pocky Lover Boy!

I just realised that spring season is really lackluster when it comes to sequels. I'm only really looking forward to Kiniro Mosaic, Teekyuu and Digimon.

But summer season already has Fate/kaleid, Gatchaman Crowds, Non Non Biyori, Symphogear and Working!!!
Hell, they even top it off with another Miss Monochrome.

Need to tag this thread, and read it a bit later.

My Opinions on: HaNaYaMaTa

So I started watching Hanayamata a few days ago for a few reasons. I've been stressed to hell with a wave of bad fortune and schoolwork crashing down on me and I needed something light and fluffy to unwind. I had a few options for this, Hanayamata or Oreshura. Both were really pretty to look at and I knew very little about either, but overall, Yosakoi was more interesting to me than...well harems (?), which seemed to be the topic of Oreshura.

So I dove in.

Hanayamata is a show about a bunch of middle schoolers dancing Yosakoi, which is like a traditional freestyle dance. I was initially unsure if I should expect K-On or Chihayafuru when it came to how important the "club" activity would be, and I'm glad it fell somewhere in the middle. While dancing a crucial point to every episode, often it just happens alongside the plot instead of being integral to it. Yes, they are doing these things to "practice" but in truth, it is just a disguise for cute girls doing cute things. Which I'm totally fine with.

What I'm less fine with is how shallow this show it. The drama all seems very forced, from jealousy to predictable romps through tropes and it brings down the show somewhat. Not that the drama was always a heavy focus, but the show relied on it to flesh out the characters, and when the drama didn't work, the characters became more one dimensional. I'd be willing to bet that they will each turn into just cute girls in a month in my memory and I will not even be able to tell you what show they came from.

As for the animation, it was one of the reasons I first started this show. In stills, it is really pretty. The dancing sequences and some of the nature is absolutely wonderful looking, as expected of Madhouse. However, there do seem to be a lot of cut corners. For one, the show is reluctant to actually show them dancing. They show the feet, or a second here and there or just slowly panning stills, but I want to see more dancing and the show just doesn't give me that. This is all probably my biggest issue, as it seems like the animators looked for ways to cut costs wherever possible and took out anything that would be a complicated animation task. This is a shame because the few bits we do get look really nice, and as a show about dancing, I think I deserve to see more dancing. While the finale dance was great, I always wanted more.

Overall, it was enjoyable and cute, albeit shallow, but it did its job at cheering me up a bit.

5/10

Feel-good animes are too rare nowadays. Give it a higher score goddammit!

Aria is also shallow and stupid as fuck but hell did I enjoy giving it a 9 for what it is.
