How does this season suck with so many great animes?

Junketsu no Maria, Rolling Girls, Yuri Kuma, Saekano, Milky Holmes, Kantai Collection, Death Parade, Koufuku Grafitti. Add to that the ongoing great animes and you have something awesome.

Don't think I had so much fun since last winter's season. Next season is gonna be nothing compared to this one.

Wow ...

I am sorely disappointed in the amount of below average adaptions that us anime viewers have to look forward to ...

It's bad enough that overrated junk like Kantai Collection is hyped up the to the heavens but I am not putting myself through that torture ...

I seriously wish I had a time machine cause the next season looks to be equally crap too ...

Maybe........... I think there are a lot of sequels on the next season ( nisekoi, Fate/ stay night, Hgh School DxD, new Gintama, and tonnes more) , Soooooooooooooooo, i gues it wouldnt be an enjoyable season for those who havent watched the first season of those series. But they can use that time to watch the first season, while the new season ( ongoing) will get more episodes.

+ I am really disliking the '3D Movements' of the girls in Kantai Collection, while they were fighting. It looked really bad ( or maybe its because i wasnt watching it in 1080p? =D )

It's actually some of the better CGI I've seen. What makes it seem worse is the constant switching between 2d and 3d.

3d is still a long way off to look even close to 2d animation but for now it's the better compromise. Those are quite complex moves so it will always look weird.

oh!! Now that you mentioned it, yeah, it think it is because of that. It makes it feel not 'smooth'. And from memory, i dont think ive seen any anime that done things like that. Regardless, i still like the anime =D I like the idea of it, not 'too' ecchi so far, and the latest ep made my heart 'sink down' =( It was expected though. Things like that mostly doesnt turn the way they want too.

Pocky Lover Boy!

Watched the first two episodes of DRRRx2Shou last night and it was just as wonderful as I expected. And as much as I absolutely despise Izaya (in a good way...he is a great villain), his sisters are absolutely wonderful. Every second they are on screen is a treat.

Like ?

What the hell happened to Miroku and what was his goal ? It seems he wanted to destroy the world for some reason, although we don't really know why. Also, there were hints that he is still alive, but that was left purposely ambiguous.

Why is Akihito the bearer of Beyond the Boundary ? I don't know

What was Mirai's main objectives or purpose in the series ? She was recruited by Izumi to destroy BTB...that much was clear.

What became of Izumi after Hiroomi finding out that she harboured a youmu within her and her past connection to Miroku ? It seems that she was forced to step down as family heir and is now somewhat of an outcast in the family.

So many things I want to find out ...

(Some answers are above in spoiler tags)

First of all, I just want to make it clear that I didn't even really like this show, so my defense of it is a bit half hearted.

Anyways, I don't think it is the shows job to answer every question the viewer has. This allows for the possibility of a sequel as well as keeping an air of mystery. There is some sweet spot though, where the viewer is satisfied. For this caliber of show, I was satisfied enough with the answers it gave. Overall, it explained character motives well enough (with the exception of Miroku perhaps) and made the begining of the show make a lot more sense.

It seemed ?

What was the purpose behind Izumi hiring Mirai to kill Beyond the Boundary ? In other words what was her motive aside from the fact that she's a spirit warrior ?

I wanted to know happened to her specifically after the incident transpired, that much about her been exiled from the Nase clan was obvious but what about her current objectives and whereabouts ?

There's a fine line between questions and plotholes ...

Saving the world isn't a good enough motive for you? She knew that the most dangerous youmu in the world was in her care but she wasn't powerful enough to take it down, so she decided on manipulating someone with enough power to do so...

Also, with your questions about Izumi, you are asking for epilogue...no story has an obligation to give that, especially for side characters. Would it have been interesting to learn? Maybe, but telling you what happens to characters after the main story is over is not anything close to a plot hole.

I think the show did a decent enough job explaining the main events and the motivations of the main characters. It wasn't perfect in that sense, but I don't think that is where its main flaws lie.

Once again, does anyone else have any opinions on Beyond the Boundary?

No that is not a good enough answer ... She was clearly doing it for a gain rather than out of altruism. Whether that's for her clan or for herself is another question entirely ...

She's hardly a side character with the amount of relationships she has with the main characters and antagonist ...

(Changing topic, although I'd love to continue a discussion on BTB if anyone else has anything to add)

A lot of people like or dislike the Monogatari series for a lot of different reasons, but I know that the reason I love it as much as I do is because the dialogue is absolutely magnificent. Nisioisin may just be my favorite dialogue writer ever, because watching Hanamonogatari, I am absolutely blown away by his ability to write such clever, quick and thoughtful dialogue all intertwined with wondrous comedy.

It certainly helps that the audio/visuals are gorgeous, the voice acting is on point and the characters are tremendously entertaining, but Monogatari is just a feast for my brain. I feel like I could just watch the series over and over on infinite repeat and never get bored. Now I suppose I will have to watch Tsukimonogatari as soon as possible (how did I let myself fall two arcs behind?!)

I'm up to date! I love this serious, the dialogue is truly amazing and you need to hurry up and catch it. Truly amazing series.
