Every console maker has to report losses and profits and they do. You just don't pay attention.

At least nintendo has balls to show the numbers of HW instead of jointing together am i right? :P

3DS .82 million? over tracked here most likely?
WiiU .51 million? how does that stack up against vgc numbers?
overall these are bad numbers honestly.

Eeeeh, I think 100 million is extremely unlikely, that would really need something new to reignite the interest of the people that went to smartphones/tablets for their mobile gaming needs. Like I said above, if Nintendo (or anyone else on 3DS) can come up with a new game that has the same kind of success that the original Pokemon games did, then it might be possible. |
Aham...

:P
Anyway, there will be a presentation about the results today? anyone has a ETA? Remenber that gibbon is not allowed to tweet the Q&A presentation anymore.
Odd things those exchanges losses and restrucituring lossses. From where those came and what they mean? New building and the abenomics?
Well, maybe they decide to cut the price now.
"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

you realize shipping .5 million units in your second year is a very bad number, right? no matter how awful your previous year is, these numbers are still bad.

The Wii U numbers are OK, and a loss is expected in Q1 for a console maker. Your overhead is the same throughout the year, but the bulk of your sales are in Q3. If Nintendo was making a profit right now, they would be in for a massive win by year end- and I'd be snapping up their shares again!
200% growth for Wii U represents a massive turnaround, and Nintendo would be content with another 50% growth from the current place I'm sure.
The big concern is in the handheld space where 3DS is performing like PS360 did last get - good, but not spectacular like the DS. They need a device that can re-capture the youth.

ok i am not trying to be a party pooper here but these are financial results. so these are always shipped. nobody is denying WiiU is getting better than last year. what i am saying that its still bad.

Yes and they seem to be about 300k more shipped than sold so more like 6.3 million sold at that time.
