Forums - Sony - sony ips for home consoles ps2 + ,TGS updated

Most of these games weren't created or designed by Sony, such as Motorstorm, World Rally Championship (Evolution Studios), LittleBigPlanet (Media Molecule), Ratchet & Clank (Insomniac Games, etc)... They were acquired through studio acquisition, so to pat Sony on the head for creating them when they had zero input into their being seems a bit farcical.

Nintedo R&D is far superior when it comes to creating and inventing IPs. Their input into the gaming World is still more significant, anybody can takeover existing brilliance if they sign the right cheques.

This list suffers from the same things as the Nintendo list! Many of them are either good games that never got sequels or games that simply suck (EyePet? SingStar? lol!)..

Little Big Planet is developed by Media Molecule, studio that is owned by SONY so they are FIRST PARTY, and therefore it is a game made by SONY... they are Sony employes...

LittleBigPlanet was released in 2008 and designed, created and developed by Media Molecule. Sony acquired Media Molecule in 2010 nearly 2 years after the release of LBP. How on Earth can this game be credited to Sony?

Because Sony owns the IP, they published the first one and probably funded it and then aquired Media Molecule as they delivered with their game.

lol, well if your gonna be like that then why dont you feel the same about every first party exclusive because Sony own those IP's but they dont physical make them, their studios do, they just supply them with the resources necessary to complete them. At the end of the day what matters is if you own the IP or not, if you own the IP its yours.

I would get rid of Rise of the Kasai, Shadow of the Colossus, and Amplitude. Those games seem like new IPs when you are just looking at the name but they are actually sequels. On the plus side you forgot a lot of move games like Deadman's Quest, Playstation Move Heroes, and Walking with Dinosaurs.
