I don't buy it. Multiplats are selling relatively poorly on X1 compared to PS4, and Destiny looks poised to continue the trend. Mario Kart has outsold both Watch_Dogs and Titanfall on X1, so I have reason to doubt that another new IP will do what they could not.

Not disagreeing with your premise though. Even the worst-selling SKU of GTA will still be enormous.

Maybe not. IOI said he expects Destiny on Xbox One to sell more than 2.5 million first week. I am willing to bet it will be closer to 3 million. Most Wii U owners will own Mario Kart by the time the game comes out. Smash Bros will not sell as much as destiny thats for sure.

even though the math has changed a bit i'll stand by what i said back in april.

it's obvious that that 1.8M gap isn't closing anytime soon but over the holidays things could change quickly.   at years end it's 50/50 who is in second place,.  but xbox will overtake the wiiU at some point.

1) The xbox 1 did not releas in thous areas because the sales of the 360 where garbage there and the xbox brand has no atraction. It will increase a bit for like the first week then drop like the led turd it is.

2) Destiny!! Really? have you seen the preorder charts? Its cmpletly one sided for the ps4, just like watchdogs was. The game will sell well for existent owners but people will not line up to buy the inferior console to play that amazing game, they will get a ps4. While the wii u titles basicly run unopsed cuz no games like them are coming to any other console.

3) I see a bunch on games that will increase the ps4 numbers and will barely affect the x1. Minor boost that last for the first week and its over means nothing. MCC will most likely not move many consoles, people interested in halo already have a 360 with the remake of 2 already so why upgrade for another remake of the same game plus a few others that where consider crap in comparison to halo 2?

4) Smash bros, bayoneta 1+2, sonic, hyrule warriors, wii u sports resort(I think thats the name), amibos. They might be all a bunch of small titles but like mentioned before each one is from a unique type of genra that is not available on either x1 or ps4, so for the fans of thouse type of games however niche they maybe, they can only satisfy thir fetish on the wii u. Whats coming to the x1 thats unique? Halo? another shooter and remake like the other 3 shooters that are already out or 3 others coming this year. Forza horizon 2? Not exclusive, its coming to 360 and there is already another forza on the x1. Sunset overdrive? Its a little diferent than anything coming this year and already out, but its a new Ip so I dont see big selling numbers. And thats pretty much all the tricks in MS hat.

You did thaught me something, That you will only compare things in a vacum wherethe x1 does have an advantage, but as long as the ps4 is around thouse advantages will only move ps4's and not x1, after you compare whats left, the wii u is ahead.

1.) Takes a few months to get an advertising crew and shelf space in foerign retailers I would imagine. Still no excuse though it should have came out everywhere in 2013.

2.) there are only 300k bundles if I remember correctly. In the grand scheme of things Destiny will only sell more on PS4 simply becaus ethere are more PS4 units out there. Xbox One owners are buying destiny just as much as PS4 owners as a percentage.

3.) PS4 has a higher intal base. It sold just as well as the PS4 version if you use it into a percentage. Msybe less because it was advertised as a ps4 exclusive similar to call of duty for Xbox.

4.) None of those games are even out for Wii U yet lmao. Maybe sports resort is. Xbox One still has games like ninja gaiden, mortal kombat, etc still waiting to come out if you want to talk unreleased games.

5.) Destiny/Advanced warfare will have the same resolution on both systems though you are right, PS4 has a better reputation. That might change now that Halo collection is all 1080p 60FPS

6.) I think Xbox One will do much better. Wii U will do decent. and PS4 will do superb

Games wont ONLY move PS4s. For instance a game like call of Duty might boost PS4 AND Xbox One by 50%. However PS4's baseline is higher than the Xbox Ones so it will appear the boost for PS4 is much bigger. My opinion of course!

Wow, seriously?? Destiny(on xone) > Mario Kart+Smash Bros+Other WIi U exclsuive titles (i guess you mean HW + Bayonetta 2 ??) 

I don't see Destiny(Xone) selling out MK8 or SSB alone. 

The gap between Xone and WiiU is now at ~1.8M(according to vgchartz).From my personal gamer taste concerning the upcoming games, i prefer the WiiU's exclusives way over the Xone's. So i'd say the gap should even grow. But i know there's a lot of people with different taste than myself, so i will guess more conservatively and say the gap may shrink by some degree, but still be bigger than at least 1M.
