Harsh? Giving an analytic view of things is bad now? Do i have to nurture the feelings of those who get hurt by comparisons like that? Feelings never serve facts and they get in the way. Better get rid of them. The topic is not my beloved console is doing better. If it was, i might have commented differently.

I'm going by reports from Scandinavian countries, the big import companies (that operate standard retail outlets) pick the best sources for the import consoles, and they are often cheaper than the official msrp due to discounts for the mass market countries. It's bizarre, but it's true. You would think it would be more expensive, but skirting the vat rules and exploiting the exchange rates can pay off big in combination with the often arbitrary prices set. I'll give you another example of Microsoft being utterly brain dead in regards to Europe that should tell you how screwed up they are : when the x1 kinectless SKU launched, they priced it higher than the kinect bundle price that also included a GAME such as FIFA. So it was essentially a price hike with no game and no kinect for much of their toughest markets.

We are using math...the gap isn't always widening. If the Xbox one and Wii U combined outsell the PS4, the gap between the Xbox One and Wii U combined vs. the PS4 is not widening. It is in fact shrinking. If you outscore me 10-3 in the first quarter but I outscore you 11-9 in the second quarter, the overall gap between us shrunk. Common sense.

Yet PS4's marketshare keeps growing? Right now it's 42.8%, never been higher. Basically it either stays the same in one/some weeks and then goes up in others. That's not shrinking, it's widening.

All I said was that the gap isn't always widening. There are times were, yes, if the Xbox One and Wii U outsell the PS4, the marketshare can still grow. But there are also times were the marketshare will not grow and will possibly shrink.

I understand. I just meant that it's not correct to say it's not widening just because it doesn't happen on a constant basis. That's like saying that a football team isn't scoring goals because it's been 5 minutes since the last goal :p

I'm lost, are you saying the gap is shrinking by adding the X1 and Wii U's numbers together. I do not understand the logic of this.

I don't think he/she thinks that MK8 had no affect on Wii U sales, but rather they are stating that even with the doubled figures it's still not selling great. I agree, 60k or less worldwide a week isn't great.
