Alright, but the thing is those very same deals don't need your entire front page to work. They could be advertised in a text box (see: PS3), and work just as fine.

And I see plenty of ads already on politics and ESPN and other non-gaming things when I go on the internet. Don't need it taking up the space I could use to organize my stuff.

To each his own though.

I agree that on the 360 the center tile for ads is pretty big.  Interesting enough, on the PS3 since its so small, I never even notice it and most times when sales happen, I have no clue because I just go directly to the game I want to play.

XBL is the reason I don't have a 360 and will not have a X1, I'm tired of telling my story though, I use MS shit a lot, but the Xbox brand is no longer one of them due to the shit that is XBL.

I have no issue with the ads to be honest. I actually wish Nintendo would advertise games when you boot up the console, if it gets a few more game sales and money back to the developers then im all for it.

No need to call out "gamers on the internet" just because we don't like ads taking up space on our screen, where we could put our own content for easy access.

It's constructive criticism. The poll shows that the vast majority do not like ads on their consoles. If they complain about it, maybe Microsoft will realize that people don't appreciate the ads. If you don't mind the ads, fine, but don't expect everyone to follow your example. We all have different preferences, you can't expect everyone to turn a blind eye to the ads just because you don't mind them.

Looks like the Xbox 360 and Xbox One are the systems for you!  You can set up "My Pins" on either system and with the push of either a single button or the d-pad, you have a screen of nothing but the things you want it to have!!  Pretty awesome, right?  I know.  When you get your Xbox One, add me.  I'm d21lewis!

Oh, I know about the "My Pins" option, since that's all I use. It's nice to put my stuff somewhere, but not having my stuff on the home screen, and instead having ads is a little saddening. For example, I can open the app drawer on my phone, sure, but I still like having a home screen personalized for my more used items.

And yeah, if/when I get an Xbox One, I'll add you
