Nintendo doesn't really care, why should they.
their hw is selling better than sliced bread with or without region lock.
if the 3ds/wiiu wouldn't be region locked I think the sales would be still the same +/- 1% maybe.

110% sure the next console/handheld will also have region lock.

I don't like it, but nothing you can do about it sadly.

The DS wasn't region locked I believe so its odd that they made the 3ds region locked but yea I doubt it

IMO what happened w Tomodachi life will probably influence them to keep region lock - they always said cultural differences in different regions is one reason they keep region lock- I used to disagree strongly w them but I can t blame them for not wanting western media telling them what kind of games they can make for Japan and or other countries that are not as sensationalized

PAL and NTSC standard definition video standards are completely irrelevant when it comes to HD, not to mention handhelds.

I don't see the point of region locking whatsoever. They really need to remove it for their next consoles.

Sadly, Nintendo will keep using that garbage for whatever reason..  Region lock is what stops me from enjoying games like Captain Rainbow!

The region locking has never really bothered me...
Until 2 weeks ago when i met up with someone from another region and we were unable to play local mario kart 8.

It was ridiculous. It actually shocked me. I hope they get rid of it for their next handheld
