First off, I love Japan.. I credit them for being a huge center piece for video gaming in general.. However I've had enough with their exclusive rights vs the rest of the world.. I would argue some points, maybe some will agree with me or not.. Totally up to you; I would just like your opinions on my issue here..
PS Vita: First off, multiple exclusive console bundles (FFX bundle, Gundam Breaker), console colors, games such as PSO 2 which were revealed to us in some manner yet we get nothing.. And Sony wonders why Vita fails outside of Japan..
Metal Gear 5 Bundle: Once again Japan gets a bundle to a military type game that is less appealing to them vs the world.. We got the typical game no special offers.
SEGA: Cold heartedly refuses to westernize their top games in Japan.. Yakuza, Phantasy Star Online 2.. Then slaps Phantasy Star Nova for Japan while we haven't heard a word about localizing PSO2 to the western audience. They announce an english version of the game for SOuth East Asia region, but put a region lock on the game so westerners can not play it.
PS4: Finally as you read above, the MGS5 bundle was a blow to my heart since I'm a die hard MGS fan.. This is where my last nerve was pinched..
PS4 Japanese Destiny Bundle: I love the white PS4, I think it will draw much more attention even considering the bundle.. Why on Earth does Japan get a legit Destiny bundle with the game logo displayed on the console.. Not only is it unfair to the rest of the millions of people who will buy the western Destiny bundle, but also to all of the fans who are stuck limited on their options. People will argue Destiny in Japan is exclusive, I COULD CARE LESS. Where the game succeeds most is where these console bundles need to go, to show appreciation towards your loyal consumers.
Additional Info: Japan got a limited edition Last of Us bundle (custom logo displayed console), Disney's Frozen custom PS4 bundle, Final Fantasy custom PS4 console..
I am here to admit from my experience.. There is only one company I feel understands from Japan.. It's Nintendo and I'm a Sony loyalist.
