Forums - Gaming - Massive layoffs at MS Europe

75% layoffs in the EUMEA team... not even Sony have done that and have got doom signs for lot less.

Was the team so inefficient that they need to cut 75% of it??? And when Sony layoff is always bad for somepeople and out of despair to try not to go bankrupt... When MS does will be seem as to increase profit margins, not as greedy move or sign of trouble in EUMEA (since as they said "we stay commited with the region, and it is a very important market to us").

The situation at MS have nothing in common with the situation Sony is facing.

You know even with the 18 000 jobs cut, MS will still end up with something like 14 000 new employees.

Haven't said MS is doomed...as I find ridicule to say that because Sony sold buildings and is in dire situation that means PS is failing... but we had several doom threads because SSM and ND had some handy layoffs.

I'm pretty sure this massive layoff isn't to prevent them from going bankrupy... and I haven't listed the 18k cut because that have nothing to do with Xbox... I linked the 75% cut in EUMEA Xbox.. and seing Og Xbox MS isn't to sleep and let money be lost.

Sony will be fine. They just need to do some restructuring.

Yep, both companies will be fine... X1 I'm not sure because I can't remember MS holding a device that doesn't profit handsomely for too long... And Europe right now is pretty fucked up to X1.

I just hope Sony get it's shit straight and Nintendo returns to profit.
