I'm not picking sides or really care, but reading your comment, It looks like you're the one in denial.

How so ? Explain yourself ... BTW the X1 just outsold the WII U according to NPD ...

It outsold the Wii U in the only market it's currently doing well in. After a $100 price drop.

It's still seems to have been outsold by the Wii U worldwide. According to chartz it was ousold in Europe and hasn't even launched in Japan, where it'll probably see a decent first week, then flop just like the 360 because it has negative press and no really good games for the Japanese market.

The 360 was a flop ? That's news to me ... *rolls eyes*

Negative press amongst game journalists and forums means nothing about real world reception of the said platform plus Japan is irrelevant for the most part seeing as how all consoles are doing sub 10K weakly including the WII U. I wouldn't put a whole lot of trust either towards vgchartz numbers so I don't see why the WII U would do better in europe than X1.

yup it has second on lock

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Xbox One will be 2nd place. It will sell better than Wii U in America (it is) and Europe (when it launches in the 27 countries). Shipments are probably already close to each other by now, but we will have to wait a couple weeks for that.

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

It will, but not this year like a lot of people predicted.

You really gonna sit there and tell me negative press doesn't hurt sales?

The XB1 is an exercise in bad press and look at it. It couldn't outsell the PS4 in the US or the Wii U WW, with a major price drop. Yeah chartz is sketchy as hell, but they seem to have been much more accurate this NPD. So even if the XB1 was even in sales with the Wii U within Europe, the Japanese market still puts it ahead WW.

Yes I am going to keep telling that negative press doesn't hurt sales ... Let me ask you a question. Did negative press hurt those WII sales ? /crickets

Alright then, I rest my case.

I still wouldn't use vgchartz data to make an argument but that does not mean that you should take the next sets of data with face value seeing as how vgchartz has shown to be wrong frequently. Just because the WII U has the japanese market does not mean that it is not irrelevant seeing as how WII U is doing sub 10K in Japan and BTW the week ending July 5th on vgchartz shows that X1 is ahead of the WII U ...

I doubt it. Look at what Wii U has coming up, and look at what we know of Xbox coming up.

Smash Bros, Yoshi, Bayonetta 2, Devil's Third, Zelda, Kirby, X, SMT x FE, Splatoon, Mario Maker, etc. etc. etc.

From an objective and lgical pov, we cant say for sure after the last npd... Need to wait to judge that after Halo Collection qnd cristmas

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Nintendo on the other hand isn't going for the same audience. Once again they're going for the casuals, kids, and Nintendo faithful this holiday.

I fear I shall have to rather extensively disagree.

While admittedly Hyrule Warriors will, by being attached to Dynasty Warriors franchise, sell to Japan's equivalent to CoD's casual gamers (as well as Nintendo's faithful), and to be sure Captain Toad will do as well with kids as well as with the Wii-U owning Nintendo fans that demanded it be made, your statement seems to ignore that Smash Bros has true hardcore following as well as it's Nintendo faithful and more casual one (more in-line with Halo/GTA casuals than with the CoD/Mario Kart casuals I should think). Furthermore Bayonetta and (although it may well only release in Japan this year) Fatal Frame both have extremely hardcore demographics.
