Forums - Microsoft - MS potentially cutting up to 6k jobs, Xbox EU Marketing possibly part of cuts

Well the X1's performance in Europe wasn't gonna make Microsoft hire more people, so this was expected. You can expect more next year if things don't improve drastically.

Ok, let me try it as simple as possible:

Microsoft = 100k employees

Nokia = 30k employees with most of them in Europe

Microsoft acquired Nokia so that they get to 130k employees but since Microsoft acquired Nokia, they need only 125k employees to do exactly the same as before or do it even better after that.

It's like when you buy a box of games and some of the new games were alreay in your library. You don't need those you have twice so that  you take the better one and get rid of the rest.

I didn't really check the numbers now so don't start to mention that these numbers aren't 100% accurate. It's not about the numbers.

If anything Microsoft will probably start to invest more in Europe for Xbox marketing as they did yet. Or at least change the strategy to the better (worse is hard)

Y u no read the rest of the thread

Even if. Opinion was already formed when the subject was read. Some topics are just out of reach for many people.

What are you insinuating with this? Don't get reflecting your own feelings onto others.

Then dont say silly things like your last sentence.

...of these 6000 that could be let go, how many would you estimate work in marketing in the UK?

Funny i didn't see you "rationalize" so much when we heard about Santa Monica having to to let people go. Talk about silly comments!

I think I was very clear. Yes, this is a gaming forum but not every topic about Sony, MS, VR or whatever is about gaming. If people don't know that and think in their usual categories, stuff goes wrong. Evidence is to find in this thread.

Ok, one of us lives in a reality distortion field and for the sake of the thread I hereby say it's me.

Let's go on with the topic itself.

Or rather people tend to get mad when people start to make a mountain out of a mole hill and spread eye-bleeding BS.

Firing is never good unless your the guy that hired this guy:

Then you might as well burn your resume/cv and start over.
