It's people like you that make gamers look silly. Be a proud internet warrior if it makes you feel better. I never said they didn't make good games and I'm not hating on them. There's a reason people look at Nintendo the way they do and Nintendo did it to themselves. Be angry that wiiu will finish ps4, be angry wiiu has zero chance of winning this gen and just keep being angry over something so dumb as people not living Nintendo like you do. If you like a system then like it. It childish that you get so emotional over over people not liking Nintendo. Get over it "internet warrior" lol

There's a difference between not liking a console and spreading misinformation over a console.

Nintendo does not sell only to kids, it does not sell only to Nintendo fans. If that were true, then how did the NES (which you brought up) sell at all?

I am okay being an internet warrior, are you okay being an ignorant? Be informed, post intelligently.

Please learn how to read. I never said all of Nintendo fans were kids. So your whole post makes zero sense. Reading and comprehending is fundamental. Again, you're just a butt hurt Nintendo fan trying to start something because someone has a different opinion than yours. By admitting you're an "internet" warrior I cannot take you seriously. Be angry and get bitter. I'll just continue to smile at a grown man that takes video games to heart. Sad

This thread is still going strong lol.

That's what happens when people get sensitive about a post lol

Well, I disagree by and large. I'd argue that it was NINTENDO that created the modern gaming industry, and Sony that changed the playing field (something Sega had already started going however). But I'm sure you've heard these arguments many times by now. And I don't think the PS4 is saving anything in the industry; Wii U doesn't have DRM, so that's not anything PS4 is saving us from really. They, Sony that is, have however started to take a fee for playing online and accessing certain online features. Way to save the industry.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Wow I guess Atari never existed.

Child historians FTW.

Nintendo created the modern console business. 1st/2nd/3rd party system, licensing fees, console, the modern controller all go back to the NES-SNES-N64 evolution.

Sony just refines what other companies do, luckily for them they are good at quite at doing that (console wise anyway). But even marketing to teenagers/adults ... Sega did that first, in fact Sony hired away a lot of Sega of America employees to start the Playstation marketing campaign.

Children so obssesed with History, and giving correct credit to companies that are either shells of their former self or don't exist anymore that they fail to see that this is a thread talking about why the 3rd parties are so important now and why this environment favors PS and Xbox and makes Nintendo struggle.

2600, Dreamcast, WonderSwan, etc all those dead consoles are irrelevant.

History is written by the victors.

They weren't incredibly arrogant. They simply believed the PS3 was the superior console. That's pride, not arrogance.

Watch Larry Hryb and Don Mattrick interviews at e3 last year, and sony execs at e3 2006, and tell me that that's not arrogance that put them in their respective situations.

Its entitlement that calls it arrogance. I see it as overestimation of the strength of their brand.

Sorry, I wasn't able to reply for a few days.

Here's the definition of arrogance - having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities.

Exactly what you defined with different wording.
