Japan likes Disney? I didn't think that type of animation was an animation they went after. lol

Makes sense. The story was originally an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's "The Snow Queen," but sometime early on in production they decided that Elsa was a much better anti-villain than straight villain, and so flipped everything around to make it a story of sisterly love.

Frozen may have also gotten some pointers from Saint Seiya, a Japanese anime from the 1980s. Apparenly both had similar main characters (the sisters from both closely resemble one another), and there's a similar plot in terms of a love triangle (although the personalities of the sisters is vastly different). Food for thought, I suppose.

Wow. I know Frozen is popular in Japan, but a PS4 dedicated to it? And yea, where's the free movie then? Anyway, it's still pretty cool. (badumtisch)

I was looking forward to Frozen and then I watched it. I don't think I have disliked an animated film as much as I disliked Frozen. I prefer this version of it which perfectly points out everything which was wrong with it (apart from the singing which done my head in).
