I wonder if it would have been cancelled delayed if the wii U was on par with X1 or PS4 hardware.
Actually forget that, lets just blame the developer and publisher because we love nintendo for making MK8.

What a worthless contribution.

Seriously, what was your intention with that post aside from conzole warzzz !?

My contribution is that people who keep blaming publishers and developers for nintendos selection of specifications are wrong.

btw, how do you feel your comment contributed to anything?

You don´t answer a question with a counter question.

The WiiU version of Project cars was announced before the PS4 and X1 versions even started development (mid 2012), so it had to be further a long than the PS4/X1.

Hardware specifications are absolutely irrelevant in this discussion, as is your childish jab at the Nintendo fans.

Both were absolutely uncalled for.

This is the problem. You want to ignore factors which matter. They dont matter to you, but they do matter to everyone involved with porting the game.

You dont ask someone a question and dodge it yourself, thats called hypocrisy

It was also originally slated for release on ps360, but the landscape changed, the scope of the game changed and those iterations were scrapped.

You used the issue at hand as a way to to get a cheap jab at Nintendo and the fans...as evindenced by the second sentence in your original post (and the canceled...delayed)

I´m not defending Nintendo´s hardware choices and obviously don´t think it would have sold as well on the WiiU.

We absolutely don´t know if the delay is in any way or form related to hardware power. It is far more likely that they think it will sell better on the Ps4, X1 than on the WiiU and they don´t have the ressources to get all 3 SKUs out for Christmas.

Watch Dogs was delayed on Wii U despite the game running on the weaker PS3/360, so yes, it likely still would be.

Try to refrain from dragging down the quality of VGChartz with posts like this.

too bad the Nintendo fans that funded the game will have to wait longer. I feel really sorry for them and this is something that might happen again with other games so I won't be giving my money to help fund other games that are supposedly coming to WiiU unless I have a way to get my money back.

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

How do you know this? Being announced does not indicate how far along it was, it could have just been in the initial stages.

Because it made business sense to spend time optimising for consoles which have sold 80m. It doesnt make sense to hold back other versions to optimise a game for an old console which has sold just 8m. (edit: not sure where I got 8m from, its currently on 6.6m)

The truth is even if it was fully optimised and launched on day 1, it still wouldnt sell 10% of the total.

I understand people are passionate about having third party games on the same day as other consoles, but they should stop acting like publishers should be taking a hit to please certain groups.

If Wii U was PS4/Xbone spec, devs would still give it the short end of the stick because they expect games on it to flop, and in doing so, they cause the flop themselves. Self-fulfilling prophecy.

And that's Nintendos fault for al's fault for over the years shunning third parties and going threre own way despite what the entire industry wanted/needed.

The opportunity was there for third parties to make money on Nintendo consoles. For the most part, third parties squandered that opportunity.
