Reports emerged earlier this year that the company was working on a new virtual reality headset powered by existing Samsung devices, including the flagship Galaxy S5.

Well, I hope they have something more appealing than a phone to drive the displays on this thing, I was wondering if the PS4 was enough to muster it adequately, now no matter how nice the S5 is, it's not as powerful as a PS4 or a decent gaming PC as far as 3D goes.

Darn, so they might end up releasing before Sony or Oculus? What a twist!

Why?
AR and Wearables are the future of the "mobile" tech industry,
Nobody is gonna a where a headset, unless they are a gaming enthusiast, and well, good luck Samsung.

Well there goes Sony's grip on the casual market with Morpheus.  I'm guessing Sony's headset is gonna be way more expensive since it has to run high end games and the casual audience is just gonna buy Samsung's headset if its way cheaper.

too bad, you will now need three different vr devices and google glass to get the full experience...

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

First Samsung needs support. Sony and OR are way ahead.

Sounds like a cheap way to experience "VR light". If it gets more people to try out the real experiences, why not.

powered by an mobile phone? lol... what a joke.
