Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

God of War I think should turn into a cultural mythology series. We've had Greek gods so now maybe Egyptian gods. As much as I love the series I think it should have either ended or changed the story after part 3. As for Ratchet & Clank... KEEP'EM COMING!!! LOVE THAT SERIES!!!

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

Sonic, Resident Evil and Fable.

Easy one...Halo. Should have stuck a fork in it after #3. At the VERY least, it should have died when Bungie split from MS.

No Franchise should ever have to end. There will always be fans of the games that crave for more. Those who stop to enjoy a game can just stop playing it.

It's a stupid proposition and a slap in the face of any fan of a series.

As long as a game remains relevant, stays true to what it is and delivers an enjoyable experince, there's no reason for a franchise to stop.  Call of Duty, Kirby, and Street Fighter to name a few all do these things well and have remained popular.

Just because a frachise has lost it's way - Final Fantasy, Resident Evil - doesn't mean the franchise needs to stop.  It means developers need to be more creative and passionate about what they're creating and focus on what made those franchises hosehold names.

The game doesn't have to stay true to anything. As we've seen countless times, it's completely subjective what is and what is not true to a franchise. I for one think FF stayed very true to its roots and those pseudo fans don't know what they are talking about.

Even if the majority thinks the game isn't worth it anymore, there is no reason to call for it to be stopped. It's practically declaring that the creators shouldn't have freedom anymore.

As you said, creators need their creative freedom. They can't have that if "fans" are claiming that a game isn't what it should be. That's the way we got to this AAA trot where developers create based on what they think players want instead of what they want.

There are countless of games out there. If a player thinks his franchise isn't fun anymore he can just stop playing it, but what about those people who still liked it and maybe even embraced the changes? A changed game isn't hurting anyone, a stopped, or even worse, a franchise that let's their creators no freedom anymore is hurting a lot of people.

Final Fantasy after FFX. Battlefield after Bad Company 2 has been complete garbage. I still have some faith that they might be able to come back from how bad they have gotten. Never back to 2 / 2142 / BC2 good but I mean you can only go up from where 3 and 4 are. I also think Dead Space should have been a one off. I think 1 completely destroys 2 and 3.

I'd say Mario, Donkey Kong, God of War, Uncharted, Kirby, maybe Final Fantasy (FF XV might be good though), and I'm sure there are others.

GoW after GoW3. GoW:A was still great, but GoW:3 just had the deserved ending for the franchise and was the best out of the series.

Bioshock should have stopped at 2. Bankrupted an entire studio.

No game series ever needs to stop!!!! Some however do need a longer break between entries to stop people from burning out on them too quickly.
