Forums - Gaming - PS4 baseline has virtually unlimited inputs vs limited on xbox one

Starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find arguments as to why one console is superior to the other I see...

How about the fact that the PS4 comes in a blue box?.....or that the XB1 has a larger instruction manual?

More of a question as to whether will limited or less inputs will limit gameplay or features. It's a fair point that needs to be discussed. We all ask "are the graphics on console A than console B" but we dont ask "are the features on A better/same/worse than B"

Granted, xbox 360 versions of some game's were miles better than ps3 version, especially when kinect came out. Skyrim allowed you to shout 'Shouts' instead of arduously changing the currently selected shout. You couldnt do that on ps3, making ps3 the worse(r?) version.

Same with mass effect 3 and the kinect commands. They did improve the game for those who were able to use it.

Well then you should love the WiiU Gamepad...

Getting tired of games with dozens of different commands. If I wanted that, I'd play Battlecruiser 3000 AD.

Fair point, less is sometimes more.

But we'd miss out on alot of pc games.

For example, i cant play games like street fighter and MK, cause I suck / cba at learning a hundred combo's.
A lot of people do like it though.

Games with lots of commands such as DCUO are similarly hated by some but manageble by others (Me :) )

I wish all shooters would use sixaxis for precision aiming.

It would be perfect for games like diablo and skyrim, and the moment it gets those games i'll come back to this thread.

In all seriousness how could ps3 /360 get diablo and not wii u, dumb corporate decisions

good god I sure hope that developers don't add more commands to the touch pad. I freaking HATE that thing. The touch commands in infamous were horrible and awkward.

Also, most games don't even utilize all the buttons available now, I don't think this will be an issue...

You know you're stuck for advantages when you have to resort to the same arguments that are often used to bash Nintendo controllers.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

not the wii u though.
and not the wii mote too.

I did like how the touchpad was used in Killzone Shadowfall. It definitely has a lot of different combinations and frees up other buttons.

Also works quite well in Final Fantasy XIV.
