My problem isn't with the "S" part in FPS per say, its the fact that its still another First person game. so far we have or will have..

  • COD
  • BF
  • KZ
  • no mans sky
  • rainbow six
  • evolve
  • next elder scrolls game
  • the witness
  • halo
  • homefront
  • mirrors edge
  • kingdom come
  • everyones gone to the rapture
  • dying light
  • alien isolation
  • metro
  • thief

and I am only mentioning games coming this gen or in the next 18 to 24 months or so. I am sure i am missing a lot of them. its like you can't take a step in any direction without stepping on a FP game.

why is the perspective so important? in the elder scrolls you can switch between 3rd person and first person. is the game amazing in 3rd person and shit in 1st person?

What is this "Amish Paradise" the game?

It looks sexy as fuck!

Pavilion is a 4th person game..!

Everything is freaking gold/brown , its like it was made by Michael Bay.
why do developers always do this?

I thought different shades of gray was Michael Bay's thing.

OT: Looks cool. Still not sure what to expect from this game, though.

Everything is gold until it explodes, then it turns grey and gold

do you guys see the real world like this? or is my eyes weird? because I like Green in my green, not freaking gold like the sun exploded in the background

Real world to me looks like this

not THIS (which a lot of developers love to do)

it hurt my weird eyes, maybe i should wear glasses that block out the sepia filter.

It's just a perspective. Relax. There are just as many, if not more, 3rd person games.

It's not like there are all that many perspectives to chose from ...

lets see here,..  there is first person and third person and, ..., and ....,  oh!,. and puzzle game!   he's right.  there is a huge glut of tetromino perspective exploration games.  we could certainly use a few more of those...

off topic of the worlds most ridiculous reason to critique a game ever,..

...this certainly looks sexy. indies are pumping out some damn impressive stuff this gen. things like no man's sky and the witness and this. AAA is being put to shame how little they can do with their budgets when indies can put out stuff like this with next to no staff.

no... http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/220049/The_Chinese_Rooms_melancholy_and_refreshing_Rapture.php

The studio's currently working on Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, a first-person exploration game for PlayStation 4 somewhat in the vein of their previous work -- "It's an open-world, story-driven game, taking the trajectory of Dear Esther and Machine for Pigs and trying to do something new," says Dan Pinchbeck, the studio's creative director. "We're really interested in looking at the unique properties of storytelling in games."

I feel like you gave up halfway through the list, because some of the games have a really unique concept which would only work in FP (mirror's edge, kingdom come, no man's sky, the witness), and games where FP would enhance atmosphere/horror elements (metro, daylight, alien). there are so many perspectives available.
