Yes 10 million sold to customers is possible. The Last of Us might give a nice boost. 

Oh and the 2:1 ratio is that fact I was on about.

i think both figures (ps4 and xb1) in that article are shipped. though..over 9 million would still mean ps4 is likely undertracked here, even if not by that much

I still wonder why Sony didn´t anounced the 8mi mark, they had at least 2 oportunities last month, E3 and NPD (and you can add a few shareholders meetings).

The guy in the article is clearly guessing.

Well vgc PS4 sell through sales are right on line with the last shipment number from Sony themselves.

March 31st: 6.8m sold to consumers by VGChartz

 

April 17th: 7m sold to consumers (Official Sony announcment)

April 12th: 7m sold to consumers (VGC numbers)

It would still be ahead of Wii and it would be explainable without the Japanease launch.

Any way, all sales annoucements will look like a dropoff in momentum untill octuber (may be september with Destiny)

or its a fine line in being proud and telling the world about your success and being a douchebeg shoving it in everyones face.

10m 15 20, no major point in announcing any other numebrs really.

But back to your other statement... You know Sony said they sold through 7m on April 17th and you think they are 9m sold to consumer by now?

Not given how weak their competition has been selling, and vgs inability to track sales this gen especially world wide.  We have ndp for US, but rest of the wolrd where sony them selves is saying there is still demend not met.  Thats another story.

How hard is it to think while US market sales slowed as demend was met elsewhere its not yet at tht point.  Why would they lie that plenty euro markets PS4 is still hard to come by.
