And Halo 5 is basically throwing that away by abandoning Master Chief.

I have a Halo edition OG Xbox alongside my 360 and have every Halo title. Halo 1 and 2 are epic, halo 3 is good. Halo 4 is forgettable at best. The other spinoffs are alright, but obviously not to the same level as 1, 2, and 3.

Gamers don't give a crap about lore anyway though, look at the best selling games of all time. Halo sells peanuts compared to GTA and COD, and those are basically one-offs with no ongoing story/lore whatsoever. Or Mario, 'lore'? No, they have characters and identities, but not 'lore'. 'Lore' is LOTR style deep universe detail, Halo never approached that even at its best. The most it had was the Master Chief character being badass and recognizable. That was Halo's Mario, and they snuffed him.

I'm not really sure what this has to do with his statement, but I guess you just wanted to take another jab at Halo.

Its only common sense if you choose to ignore all sense and logic.

Halo 3, ODST and Halo reach all sold 30M+ copies worldwide in one generation. Every insomniac PS3 game (ratchetx 3 and resistance x 3) and every game they made on the PS2 combined... did not sell up to 30M copies. 

But yet the two studios are the same in value? How's that common sense working for you now?

It's simple:

People bought Halo 4 thinking "this is the sequel of the awesome Halo 3"

Instead they got a COD sequel with master chief's skin.

People got dissapointed with the game(and with 343i) and abandoned the multiplayer fast.

Halo 5 should be goood...I hope.
