Evolve is 4 v 1. Where the 4 are weaker foot soldiers and the 1 being a strong beast type thing that grows stronger/bigger/faster as a match progresses.
Very different to the gameplay of LFD which is team play against the AI.

Eh, this sounds an awful lot like L4D's versus mode, except there's only one player and one playable character on the monster side and the Tank gets extra powers.
Not seeing the part where Dr.Henry_Killinger was horribly, horribly wrong.

I didnt claim he was horribly horribly wrong...unless thats not for me.
The game is built completely around this concept though...4 weaker soldiers with abilities etc. vs a monster that evolves as the game progresses. I've never seen anything like it from L4D to be honest. The soldiers and the monster have lots of abilities as well, some of which change over the course of the game and has a big impact on which team has the momentum.
The meta game also changes over the course of the match...if you are a monster you start off by trying to avoid the soldiers, slowly getting bigger, faster and more powerful. Eventually the game will shift to where the soldiers become the hunted.
Watching 30 minutes of gameplay with some commentary will make it quite clear that the game isnt a L4D clone..in fact this is the first time i heard it being called that. If you also consider that L4D is most known for frantic gunplay and high mob count..it really contrasts evolve quite glaringly.
