Its because we lost that area of game developers for a while...what was the last retail game that you can say was made by one guy?

We are in 2014 now not 1984 we should go further not return to the past



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

I like indie support even though I never buy games from them. It is nice to play games that don't need a crap load of hours to play. Although it would be nice to have a middle tier again. But no everyone has to make big expensive games >.> for no reason

Well, smaller studios usually don't have the resources or manpower to create big games, so they have to innovate and break the mold. On the other hand, AAA developers can create gigantic games with tons of support, but they are limited by the fear of failing and losing a ton of money, so they usually stick to formulas, safer but less original.

Smaller but more original games VS safer and bigger games. It's a matter of opinion.



You know it deserves the GOTY.
