No, because for VGChartz, XBOX ONE sell much more of NPD.
Example:

April:
VGChartz=215,000
NPD=115,000

May:
VGChartz=105,000
NPD=77,000

I predict that in June VGChartz will repourt 140,000, and NPD between 100,000-120,000... because i'm Mr Octimist: 125,000!

This is accurate, and it's just another series of massive overtracking in previous months as well.

Mr. Octomist? lol

OP: VGC seems to make over a tracking the X-one  a trend so...

Doesn't really matter anymore. 60k or 71k. Just wait for NPD and whatever we find out about X1 there, This site will just add 40% per usual and then we'll move on to July..

I take all the numbers with a grain of salt until adjustments are made.

I'll just presume the X1 is selling better now than before the new SKU.

This post wins the thread

Why not??? Do you believe the other numbers???

No. I would expect it to be 60.....or around 50 since everything is dropping.

I will probably be more telling when we get the quarterly report from MS but I am guessing these numbers can be quite close.

The power of mighty price drop.

Nope, VG overtracks xone all the time then readjusts.

I don't come here for the numbers, more the forum.

It seems rather sketchy to me that VGC has the Xbox slightly ahead of the PS4...Amazon has had the PS4 in the top ten best sellers all during this week...and the $399 Xbox One barely made it up to #41 before sliding back down below #50 this week!

So, either Gamestop, Best Buy, and Walmart are selling a whole lot more Xbox units than Amazon, or VGC overtracked again. My money is that it's over tracked.

Even if it's NOT...the Xbox One is barely keeping pace with the PS4 in the last few weeks of June...the advantage that VGC themselves showed for the first week of June should assure that the PS4 again comes out on top in NA once NPD numbers are released.

In any case, current numbers are showing a negligible impact in sales due to the price cut/new sku without Kinect....certainly NOT the numbers that MS was looking for.

Will Xbox "survive" with these numbers? Hard to tell...rumors have the shareholders becoming impatient for profits...but there might be enough of a bump for the Xbox team to stave them off for a while longer....HOWEVER, I wouldn't bet money on that being the case if sales continue to flag during the holiday season this year.
