Because they couldnt even get it right when they tried.

Who is they? Nintendo, or The Game Bakers (makers of Squids Odyssey)?

Well if Game Bakers are now writing Nintendos Store code we might actually see some new features, sadly i think they is still Nintendo.

Well Nintendo is still still handling the eShop code, so tough titty. We got your two cents, so I'll be moving on now.

Yes and its the EShop side thats fucked up. Game Bakers wanted there game cross buy in all regions and on both consoles, there the ones pushing cross buy not Nintendo. Nintendo are the ones that failed to deliver on there wish for America and on DS.

Nothing has changed here at Nintendo towers with this release. A 3rd party Dev tried, Nintendo couldnt deliver.

There is obviously some sort of architectural or structural problem keeping the two eShops separate. It would explain Nintendo's bizarre strategy of flooding Wii U of all places with Game Boy Advance titles, while 3DS hasn't gotten any beyond the Ambassador games.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Nintendo are working on it as we speak

The guy from The Game Bakers said Nintendo is working on it. But Nintendo sucks and can't do anything right, I know. There, I just saved you the work of making a reply.

Look, i love my 3DS i play on it alot, but yeah Nintendo struggle immensly with there online and todays news just highlights that there still struggling, if Nintendo can get this fixed so it works both ways and in all regions, then we might finally have some news worth talking about.

I dream of the day they announce Cross Buy and Cross Save for all Virtual console titles.

Needs to be across all Virtual Console titles, no exceptions. This is pretty pathetic.

It's a start though. If this gets a positive receptions then they will also be more inclined to do it with everything else.

this is not quite the same, this is a brand new game, independently programmed for each platform yeah its nice and its pretty much the rule now on PSN rather than the exception for indie games.

Im talking about Virtual console here, games that are just running on emulators, buying it on one playform should allow me to play it on any as its the same ROM, they just need to make an emulator for each platform. Its an easy win for Nintendo, the fact they just realeased GBA games for Wii U only is a fucking joke and a disgrace.

If you held onto your old hardware or, if you were too young to have HAD a GBA but was a collector...you'd already own a GBA, you wouldn't be so mad because you'd have the games and the system to play them on.

I do NOT understand kids these days and their feeling of entitlement. Every game and every console ever released which PLAYS said games are out there right now to buy. There's no need to wait until the magical day comes in which your favorite games of the past are available on a new console via ROM.

Im not being entitled to anything, im not saying i should get my old gba games for free, im happy to buy the ROM version again for the luxury of not having to carry around cartridges and old hardware, but the ROM version should now work on all consoles they can provide there emulator on. and we know they have a GBA emulator for 3DS so why are they all of a sudden Wii U Exclusive.

They should do this with Super Smash Bros.

It would help sell the Wii U.

Baby Mario steps... Cross buy is the main thing I put down on all polls for VC games. I state I that I should be able to play it on 3DS as well as Wii U for VC games.
