Forums - Gaming - Prediction- we won't see Kingdom Hearts 3 until 2018, at the earliest

When will Kingdom Hearts 3 come out?

2015 12 11.21%

2016 60 56.07%

2017 24 22.43%

2018 3 2.80%

Later than 2018 3 2.80%

Not this gen, delayed to next 5 4.67%

Total:107

I'm thinking Final Fantasy XV gets announced for winter 2015 but then delayed to fall 2016, and then Kingdom Hearts 3 taking at least two years after to complete. We actually might not see it until 2019. Nomura being the director for both isn't helping either. Thoughts?

I am expecting KH3 to come out in 2020 as a PS5 launch title!

I desperately want this post to be wrong, but it wouldn't be all that surprising if it actually happened...

Hmm

I don't see any logic behind this, seems like a random guess.  KH3 and FFXV are being made by 2 completely different teams.  KH games take way less time to make than FF games, KH games have these different worlds with small environments, its not gonna be a big world like FFXV.  Parts of the game like the story were aleady done before the game even started development.  The game has been in development since late 2012 at the latest, idk how u think a KH game is gonna take 6 years to make.

2016 seems like a good prediction. SE can be slow, but KH games usually come out faster than other franchises...

Not expecting it soon.

Yes, even for me 2018.
Coming one year after Final Fantasy, that coming on the end of 2016 in Japan, and first half of 2017 in USA and EU.

not sure, but the possibility of it releasing in 2016 is less than it releasing in 2018.

Someone's a little optimistic.

At least give Square Enix the 9 year development cycle they need.
