Forums - Gaming - Titanfall 2 Needs a Real Campaign on PS4

No campaign no buy. Gamers have learned to expect fantastic, even memorable, single-player excellence on PS. If you look at history, you'll see Sony's most successful franchises is the single-player experiences. Their exclusive lineup is defined by single-player. Most of Microsoft's success have come in having strong multiplayer aspects. Look, fans on both sides just have different expectations, and Respawn Entertainment, you better deliver. There will be too many PS4s out there to ignore.

The last Call of Duty to have a truly great campaign was 4 in 2007 and the series has sold amazingly well on Playstation.

If they have a good idea for a plot and how to adapt the game-play mechanics to a satisfying campaign then sure they should go for it.

Otherwise they should just focus on improving the games multi player.

This is the Game of Thrones

Where you either win

or you DIE

If you look at history, you'll see franchises for every single console company ever have had single player experiences. Sony fans aren't special in this regard.

Either way good luck, Respawn just said a couple days ago that developing a SP campaign in TF would be a step backwards.

it would certainly be a plus, as i view that their gameplay and universe would be amazing for a singleplayer campaign. however it depends on what the online component has for TF2 for me to buy it or not if it were just online. if its severely lacking like the first titanfall then i doubt i would buy it, but if it has a lot of modes, content and possibly a split screen online, then i would buy it.

Titanfall 2 needs a single player campaign regardless of what platform it will be on.

So we're just assuming it's on PS4? When did that happen?

Anyway the dev said a single player would be a step backwards, so case closed.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I'm not buying the wii u version, unless it has Mario

I thought that part of the IP belonged to Microsoft, since they partially funded the game when it was going to be canned.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
