Forums - Sony - Gran Turismo 7 in the works, standard cars from GT4 set to stay, not this year

I will never buy gt7 if it has standard cars, Il check out project cars instead thanks!

That's a bit harsh you don't have to use the standard cars I'm pretty sure it will have more then enough premium cars that you never have to use a standard car not like it was in GT5 where you actually had to use some standard cars in some races.  I will check out Project CARS also mainly for the vast amount of tracks it has even though it would be nice if not all of them had generic names hoping it does well so that the second game can have licensed tracks and more car manufactures it kinda blows that it doesn't have any Chevy's or Toyota's not that those two are some of my favorite brands but both have been huge in automotive racing for over 50 years.

I'm sure that Forza 6 will have a day one car pack or one very close to lauch but it will also launch with a lot more cars then 5 over 400 is pretty much doable.  Also I'm hoping we will get at least one more car class back splitting the D class in into E and D would make a lot of sense.  Of course I also want more tracks a day and night cyle and at least rain when it comes to weather effects and the online lobbies need to be fixed especially for the monthly edurance races.

If all that happens 2015 is going to be awesome. Forza 6 will take the crown (temporarily) as I doubt GT7 will be done by then, probably just a GT7 prologue. I'm starting to lose a bit of faith in GT after the promise of monthly track dlc for GT6 evaporated into thin air. So far I've only managed to spot an 80's version of Monza (dunno if that was there at launch) and the new red bull ring released with 1.09

I go where the tracks and variety are, when Forza 6 brings back the ring and adds day/night weather I'll switch from gt6. Although I'm not sure about getting another online sub, already suckered into ps+. Stupid online pay walls suck.

Project cars might be good as well. I'll give it a try. No Chevy's you say? Hmm, my most used car in GT6 is the chevy corvette ZR1 and its LM race car variant. I handles the Nordschleife so nicely. I did the 24 minute endurance event again on the 24H Nurb after a few months break, rain + night still awesome, but I noticed I couldn't select intermediates or rain tires in the pits, glitched, removed? Sliding around on racing hards still got me an easy win anyway. I wish they would add longer endurance events in GT6, 3 laps on 24h Nurb isn't much of an endurance event. GT5 had the 3 hours version which is perfect for that track, but it didn't do it with accelerated time or weather. I never did the actual 24h one, no time for that kind of commitment.

Well the ring is already back in 5 along with the GP layout and the GP layout and the ring the only thing missing is the short layout of the GP version of the track which really isn't a big miss.  Never did any of the 24 hour races in GT5 either even though you could save your progress during the racing anything over 3 hours is really too long for my taste that being said it would be nice if you could do more then 50 laps in free mode on some of the shorter tracks in Forza 5.

Ah I missed that. Damn my expectations, I just looked through some you tube playthroughs, I expected a lot more from a next-gen Nordschleife. Maybe it's the lighting. That should get a complete overhaul anyway if Forza is going to support dynamic lighting. You tube compression doesn't help either ofcourse.

Day/night is last gen anyway, spring/summer/fall/winter should be options too :)

Maybe next gen, I doubt gt7 can get close to this either.

Still something to look forward to :)

The main guy from inside sim racing like Forza 5 a lot more then GT6.  He gave Forza 5 a 9/10 (a bit to high in my opionion) and GT 6 a 7/10 (a bit to low even though I haven't played it yet).

all the GT6 and F5 reviews were a joke.

F5 issue is its pretty but floaty, even throguh controleer you can feel things are a bit wrong.  Gt6 got screwd by being ugly by comparison to he next gen sim.

The inside sim video review actually states that graphics isnt even part of the review.  They purposely ignored them to be more balanced.

Try being a little more balanced and objective.  InsideSIM are pretty much THE guys when it comes to these kinds of games and they certainly have no axe to grind, they even give GT6 some wins over FORZA5.

Not everyone that disagrees with you or doesnt give a sony item an automatic win is biased.  Sometimes that Sony item isnt the best.  Imagine that.

1 Go buy a real sports car drive the shit out of it play both and ill be easy nuf to see.  Just casue some hardcore gaming nerds say something does not mean much at all when copared to real life experience.

2  they you me can claim graphics were ignored but that is bs.  From a mere humen stand point we simpy cant ignore visuals, we are not build that way we are not such a society nor will we ever be.  From self experience alone, Gt6 is the better sim yet id rather play F5 casue it looks better.

Try not to be mr super pro MS all the time, i get you push their pr hard but sometime maybe take a break.

Do you have any self awareness at all?

So what you are saying is anyone who doesnt agree with you and review GT6 as a better sim in every respect is biased?

That'll do for me, thanks.  Now read that lastsentence you wrote again.

F5 does plenty better, but none of it actually to do with the cars driving like its real counterpart.

As i said try the real thing and then comment on which games simulation is near realism.  Untill you do your comments are worthless as are much if not all the reviews.

I guess you can call the controls in F5 a bit floaty but to me I think F5 is a bit more realistic then F4.  In Forza 4 all the cars pretty much handled the same except for the fact that rear wheel drive cars where easier to drift.  I think in 5 there a actually a difference between the handling of rear and front wheel drive cars and rear wheel cars actually handle and behave more like they do in real life.
