X will do better by FAR. Not even a question as far as I see it. There's a fair bit of hype there, and Fire Emblem isn't exactly that big a franchise, nor is SMT (especially without the Persona moniker), so a spinoff crossover between the two won't light fires either side of the Pacific I think.

I'd say SMTxFE will sell 2/3 of X, optimistically.

We still know nothing about smtxfe. X only seems like the safe choice because the one on wii sold out here. If we know more the it might change how most feel. Right now I think smtxfe will do better only because nintendo of America may try and give gamestop exclusive rights again.

So we have to make a decision based on a game we have seen and a game we haven't? You people saying Xenoblade Chronicles X because it "looks" awesome is a lame reason. I think name recognition is a huge factor and SMT x FE has it with two brands that are widely known. I really have to see what SMT x FE but I would also say that Xenoblade Chronicles X might be more popular in the West since it SMT x FE will be more niche as a likely strategy rpg but yet we don't know exactly yet...
