Well those 2 best suit themselves to the art style which is why I think it's mainly just those 2. Would be nice if Madly was playable though.

Firstly, is your problem just with Lana? There's other original characters too.

Secondly, every Zelda game has original characters, why can't this one have some too? Someone needs to tie the story together. Seems they did it quite well too.

Agitha? Well that's pretty random. Not gonna complain though as I quite liked her in Twilight Princess. Now all we need is Tingle and those scary bird-thingys from TP.

The character styles seem a good compromise between the two franchises.

This game is coming out nice. I hope we get a photograper mode where we can use link with a camera instead of a sword to take panty shots of the girls. It would be titz.

Are there other original playable characters I'm not aware of? I don't mind the main villian. In fact I'm all for it, and I'm hoping she doesn't just wind up as another Ganon slave for him to hijack the plot in the last 10 percent of the game. I also love her lieutenants: one guy based on Volvagia and another based on the Sheikah/Bongo Bongo? SOLD.

But when it comes to playable characters, I want people that I have a connection with and always wanted to play as. Saria, Darunia, Nabooru and the Zora chick all sound far more interesting me than someone made up just for a non-canon game. Think of it like playing with some random Mii in Smash Bros.

And as far as the story goes, if the game isn't canon to the universe, which Sakurai has kind of hinted, then I could care less about a character to tie the story together. LIke you said, every Zelda game has plenty of new characters, so it shouldn't be that hard to take an existing one to fulfill Lana's job. What does she do that is so unique that none of the many, many magic users in the history of Zelda can't do in a game that features several characters already doing things they don't normally do?

So I have seen a lot of threads and pics of this game and even some gameplay. So I think the game looks AWESOME, but I have to ask being a Dynasty Warrios/Samurai Warriors/Sengoku Basara fan is this just like the Zelda version of one of those games? I know it is being made by some of the same people but I wasn't sure if I was correct in making that judgement.
