It is problematic across the board. Even though summer usually sucks, these are extremely low numbers even for first year consoles.

In the quarter between March 31st and June 30th in their first year, the:
Wii shipped/sold approx. 285000/week
360 approx. 150000/week and
PS3 approx. 60000/week (source vgsales so they are not exact).

That´s an average of 495000/week, just for comparison.

I think the destiny bundle has a hand in all this though. Initally I din't think it would have that much of an effect, and I don't think a monthly average dropping from aorund 500k to 400k is that much of an effect. But if we really think about it, it should be expected.

Its not just summer, this is world cup season. And there is practically no reason to buy a PS4 right now besides just wanting to upgrade or if it has taken you this long to save up money. But having said that, if anyone could wait this long, and want destiny and/or a white PS4, why not just wait for 6 more weeks?

Wouldn't it be funny if the PS4 does 1M+ worldwide in the month of september? Impossible? I highly doubt that.

Well, it's going to explode in September regardless of anything. Like others have said it's the summer lull kicking in. TLOU will give a little boost but not all that much. It'll sell millions on the holidays though

We are in the very very low season, and also some more casual gamers bought the Kinect-Less One instead of PS4. I'm expecting PS4 to stay in the 110k range for the week ending 21st, and to be on Top again, over 3DS. Just my forecast.

Also, don't talk to me about the White PS4 with Destiny, because it looks so BEAUTIFUL that I'm tempted to buy it, yes, to buy another PS4. OMG how much the White PS4 is sexy, damn :)

Its bad. However its no where near as bad as X1's bad performance after the price cut.

Normal summer numbers anyway ( more than PS3 first year and more than 360 the same week) + indeed new color announceemnt would push a lot of people to wait if they prefer that color

Of course it is bad...less then 100k already is indeed bad. Not doom bad but still bad. But it is the summer months and usually ALL of the consoles sale bad around this time so no big deal really. I think it will stay right at the high 90,00's low 100,000's until maybe like Sept or Oct. With s random spike higher here and there in between time.
