maybe they did maybe they didnt. BUT the sequel most likely didnt since we never saw a 3 and we probably wont see one. Your only as good as the last game.

Of course playstation gamers are, thats why all of Suda 51s games sold so well on PS3. The dirty wii casuals who liked "whatever wii games are" had no interest in NMH whatsoever despite it selling 500k, roughly the same as lollipop chainsaw did on PS3. |
its actually more impressive when one considers LC did better than NMH not by much on JUST PS3 which came out later, more expensive and to a smaller install base.

It sold best on Wii. Also NMH2 was Wii only
Does this mean any hope of seeing NMH3 in the future is dead in the water? :(

More dark, gritty, generic-looking ultraviolence. We went from a samurai girl fighting some giant robot samurai, to yet another game with burly macho men tearing each other apart in gruesome ways. |
Overpromising and underdelivering is not a new thing for Grasshopper Manufacture, even if the end result is still subversive.
WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

Probably is, granted NMH came out pretty early in the wiis lifecycle so the install base wasn't that huge either. Truthfully I don't really care which sold better as they both didnt do overly well in the grand scheme of things. Just dont like the generalisations and arrogance he was throwing about lol

I think grasshopper always work with a very limited budget and don't spend a lot of time developing their games ( SotD, LC and KiD all came out about a year after the preious game) which is on one hand bad because I think all of these games could've needed more polish but that may also mean that grasshopper never have to sell that many copies to at least break even.
But I believe the fact that his new game is free to play shows that Killer is Dead wasn't successful and that he can't continue the way he used to work.
No More Heroes was a one shot, but Suda51 is dead.
Sad.
I remember when they were talking about No More Heroes 3, but now it's obvious it will never happen, it's like Square Enix
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
