Forums - Gaming - I'm thinking about getting a PS4. I have questions.

Not to sound like a dick but if you want the PS4 console for games you know you'll play...then yes buy it. Its not very hard to make a decision.

If you know the Playstation brand, they release plenty of diverse games from indie to AAA. I'm sure you wont be disappointed if you're a casual or hardcore gamer. I cant wait for Bloodborne! thats when i'll make the plunge for a PS4 and finally join current gen! By then there will be plenty of games to play...LBP3, The order and maybe uncharted 4 for example ontop of plenty of third party games people mentioned aboved.

It seems to be an entirely new game rather than a simple remake (which is what the reveal made it feel like).

This part is funny though, cause you really only need PS+ for online multiplayer and not to get your games online if that makes sense. Hope that answers your questions, if I may add though.... you really don't seem to not only not like the PS but you seem to be against everything that a PS type console stands for. Having said that, I think you spending all that money for something you obviously don't like is pointless; though its your money so ignore me :) . Especially if you are only doing it for a white console lol. What you have done in your post would be the equivalent of saying I want to buy  wiiU but I need ppl to recommend multiplayer only games and I don't want any nintendo first party games lol.

There is no comparison between what I posted and what you said about the hypothetical Wii U wanter. The majority of people buy Playstation products to play 3rd party games, not first party. That's why I'm considering a PS4. The majority of people buy Nintendo to play 1st party game, not third party. That's why I own a Wii U. I don't want to play extra for online. The games aren't free, they're rented, so I don't beleive that it pays for itself at all. I think people like to tell themselves that to futher justify a purchase when they really don't care and would have payed regardless. There is no policy equivilant to that on the Wii U, so there's absolutely no comparison to draw there.

The closest comparison would be me saying "I want to but a Wii U, but I don't want any third party games, and I don't want any games that... uh... don't allow cross buy between the 3DS and Wii U, because that's a scam." Which is far less stupid to ask than what you're implying I'm asking.

I'd like to thank you for answering my question exactly the way I wanted instead of assuming I don't want the systems because I'm critical of it. I forgor about KH3 and FF15. DEFINITELY much haves, whenever the hell they come out. I know there's Bloodborn gameplay out there, but everytime I try to find something, it's been taken down. It's the only Playstation 1st party game so far that has grabbed my interest.

I'm also going to a ps4 because of the white system. I also wanted to play Destiny so im pretty much getting that for free. I was going to wait next year but the white one wont be around next year.

Also, look at the games. There is really only like 4 exclusives out for it right now and that's Killzone Shadowfall, Knack and Infamous Second Son

So please dont be that guy that tries to act extremely shocked when you get it and their isnt much exclusives to play.

The only exclusive i'm going to get is Infamous Second Son and maybe DriveClub this year.. I MIGHT also get plants vs zombies garden warfare because it doesnt really have much on it right now


Why would I drop over $450 on a console I don't like? I'm not buying it for the exclusives, since I don't really care for about or like 70% of Sony exclusives, so I wouldn't really care if they never released another single exclusive. Except God of War. I love God of War.

Also, I'm pretty sure the Destiny bundle is $450, so you really aren't getting the game "free."

I don't like PC. I considered a Steam Machine, but a lot of you guys convinced me that it wasn't what I was looking for. A PS4/XBO without online is the next best thing.

1) yes more than likely its will be a limited PS4

2) only FREE TO PLAY games like Warframe, Warthunder, BalckLight Retribution and in the future Planetside 2 DON'T require PS + to play online, all other games that aren't free like No Mans Sky DO require PS + also i PS+ do basically pay for itself for the amount of free games and discounts that you get in a year but... well you don't seem like you want to even bother with it so...

3) if you are seriously only gonna buy it for Third Party games then STICK TO PC... i am a Console gamer because i prefer exclusives over better settings (FPS, Resolution etc) on third party games... i could name some great exclusives coming to PS4 that fit your singleplayer needs (that are also great games) like Bloodborne and Uncharted but you seem like the type of person who never even tries to see something from other perspectives, and will always deem some games (in this case PS exclusives) as bad games...

in conclusion DON'T BUY IT... buying a console solely for third party games and because the hardware is white seems to me very... pointless...

Again, thank you for answering the thread instead of turning it into a console war thing.

I never really liked the first three Arkham games, so I'll pass on Arkham Knight. (I never beat them, but I played all three.) I already played TLOU, so I'm not getting that one. KH3 is definitely on my radar, whenever it comes out lol.
