There are a lot of games on the Wii U cheaper than 59,99, even at their release date. For example Game&Wario, Wonderfull 101, Pikmin 3, Raymen Legends. And Mario Kart comes with a free game.

next, if you don't want to pay 60 dollars for a wii u game, that certainly is your choice. personally, i wouldn't pay 60 dollars for games like ryse and remastered versions of games that came out less than two years ago. gta V, last of us, and tomb raider do not need remastered versions. youre going to get the same experience that you got on the previous consoles. so to each their own, right?

Iwata's certainly a hypocrite if he said that, but that doesn't make OP's claim any better.

PS360 titles are still $60. So Nintendo, siding out Iwata's comment, has the right to charge the same.

I think we need to expand the power of mods to ban based on stupidity/subtle trolling. Really, too many people are just contributing nothing intelligent and are dragging the community down.

yeah because its a more powerful system. its got more p's and more rams. i dont care if the games play well, i just care aboout the p's.

He said it at the beginning of last gen, when the Wii was weaker than the PS360 but still using it as a selling point.  Doesn't change the fact that he said it though.

I read articles based on the interview. He was stating that any Wii first party titles shouldn't cost more than $50, because he also says he has no control over what third party partners put their prices at on the system. This is especially relating to the Wii because it was back when everyonme was calling it the Revolution. So I don't see that as being hypocritical, you're just taking the statement out of context to make it look like he said no first party title ever will cost more than $50.
