I think it still will be before this holiday season, price cut by 50$/€. Most likely in the time frame mid october till beginning of november.
Not this year I guess.
Maybe the MK8 bundle with Remote + Wheel and a Smash bundle with a GameCube controller and an amiibo figurine for $299 this holiday season.
Bundles with better value instead of cheaper bundles.

November 2015, $250 Zelda bundle.
Not that it really needs a price drop. The insane deals they run on games and bundles makes the purchase well worth it. It's pretty stupid that people will complain that they won't buy the system for any more than $250 yet $330 with two games and an extra Wii remote is too much.
Currently playing:
Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9
they dont drop price, they give free games.
if we have luck, we can see a 300$ bundle with sm3dw, kart and nsmbu and mario controler
or a smash bros bundle with adapter, GC controlers and amiibos for 300$.
but not any lower than 300$.
US$ 230, in october. Even with MK8, the bump in japan was not that big, and npd didn't paint a incridible situation either. Hyrule warriors don't look like the system seller, so if they want to reach that 2,8 million, a price cut will problably be needed. Number from july till september will not be fun to wacth.
"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
