No. Nintendo, especially portable Nintendo, is still very popular in Japan. Xbox is not, in spite of what some might want to think. And it likely never will be.

Pokemon. Animal Crossing. Tomadachi Life. Fantasy Life, ALBW, Kirby, Mario 3D World, Wii Party U, etc. etc. etc.

All pretty big sellers in Japan. All released within the last year or so. I'd hardly call that "neglecting" the Japanese gamers.
