The game should play like the Anime in action. Active turn based system with anime like visuals (something like Valkyria Chronicles graphically.)

IMO the visuals in the picture i posted in the OP will have a much larger appeal.

Not for pokemon fans. I think most pokemon fans would love a Pokemon RPG for the Wii U that looked like Dragon Quest 8, but with better visuals that take advantage of the more powerful hardware. The pokemon in Stadium,Colloseuom, XD, and Revolution look almost like stiff action figures to me, and this is especially true of the Blastoise in the picture you posted.

I think it terms of battles it should stay the same, obviously better visuals.

In terms of starting battles: you have 3 type of Pokémon. 'Hostile', these attack you. 'Friendly', these don't attack you but you can attack them to start a battle to try and catch them. 'Scared', these Pokémon run away from you to try and avoid battle.

The picture I posted was fan made though. I'm sure some work could be done to make the pokemon look less action figure-ish. I just think it's impossible not to get hyped by a game that would have looked like the pic i posted.

1. For this one, i'll let the poll decide.

2. Can we all agree that number two in the post i quoted is a good suggestion?

Yes for Pokemon fans.

I honestly believe that the usual animated style has more mainstream appeal to the 15-20 million people who buy pokemon games than the picture posted in the OP. It is tested in all varieties of media, the handheld games (which sell more than the console releases) as well as the anime and trading card game.

Colloseum, and XD are pokemon RPGs on the Gamecube. The other games are battle, "stadium", games.

It's not tested anywhere. There hasn't been a single case where people were pissed because of the non-cel-shaded prepresentations of Pokemon in Mystery Dungeon, Stadium 1+2, Snap, Hey You Pikachu, Pokemon Channel, PokePark 1+2, PBR, or the 3DS Pokedex. People just haven't been given be option for anything else. If I had the option for the Pokedex 3D Pro graophics instead of what's in X and Y, I'd change it in a heartbeat and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

well, the gamecube didn't have a fraction of the hardware sales of ANY Nintendo handheld. And aldo those games could have been put more effort into IMO (from what i've seen).
