It's not about "not liking" a company. It's about trashing that specific company every chance you get.

The people you are describing are known as haters. We Nintendo fans have been all too aware of their existence for many years.

The main problem is the fact that many people lack respect for anything they don't like.

What about people who are fans a multiple consoles and bash all of the console manufacturers? I'm a Sony fanboy but I don't praise everything they do like a lot of people on here do. I have no problem bashing the company for their incompetence, which is on a regular basis.

Unfortunately this a trait that many lack. It seems when people buy their console they take an oath of allegiance to never bash the console they bought and rally against the opposing consoles. It makes no sense to me. It just doesn't.

You should call out BS as you see it. As simple as that. But if you ever point out something wrong with a console or that fanbase, you get instantly labelled as a fanboy without any sort of objective thinking. WTF?

I'm just happy I'm apart of a site that recognizes fanboys and the rights assumed to them. At Ign the comments are just filled with gifs and memes that oftentimes don't relate to the articles.
