Nice price! Just a warning for prospective buyers: aiming and moving in the WiiU version is a little sluggish. I don't know if it's an oversized dead-zone or what, but the controls feel heavy. If you have the means I suggest getting the 3DS original, or, if you want a big-screen experience, the X360 or PS3 port.

It must just be you. I have 300-400 hours in Ghost Ship runs online and I have never once ran into any issues. The Wii U version is just fine.

I wish it was just me.

Most of the time I would not have even have bothered to respond back but I went ahead and clicked on your very first link there and this is what it says about the aiming, lol,I am not even going to read the others.

"Aiming feels natural, and this version retains the ability to move and shoot at the same time."

I am glad that you are posting reviews that support my view and I hope more people get this game at this price. I am on right now. Purple Tag. NNID is the same as my user name here.

I can lift out the blurbs if that helps:

"Another issue some may have is the dead zones present in the Wii U version. I’m sure this can be patched, and hopefully Capcom decides to do so soon. Despite the dead zone issue with aiming, the Wii U version of the game can be seen as the most faithful of the bunch."

"The only real issue that the Wii U version has with controls is that the dead zone is improperly set – the aiming is not as responsive as it should be. This is mitigated by settings that can be adjusted, but for some this still may not provide an adequate solution."

"The only real detriment I could find between the two versions played, and one that will surely annoy most and needs to be fixed, is the ridiculous dead-zone on the Wii U version of the game. Dead-zone, for those not familiar with the term, is the amount of space you can push an analog stick without seeing an on-screen response. Most games incorporate one, but most do a better job of masking it than Revelations does here. Assuming it can be patched, and I hope it can be, I couldn’t find much else to complain about between the Wii U and PS3 versions."

"That is but one of the two issues. The second is rather unfortunate, and unlike the loading times, the Nintendo 3DS original never had this problem. It has to do with aiming. There is notable dead zone when using the analog stick to aim. In Layman's terms, this means that aiming is not as precise as it should be. It feels slippery and lacks the precision of typical third-person shooters. This makes aiming for weak spots on enemies more of a problem than it should be."

"On the other hand, the Wii U version appears to be visibly less refined in this area, with small but frequent fluctuations in smoothness adding some noticeable stutter to the experience. Furthermore, frame-rates are hit harder when the engine is under load and this has a larger impact on the controls compared to on the 360 and PS3. Aiming and moving around in general feels heavier and less responsive in the Wii U - there appears to a much larger dead-zone that creates a delay between moving the analogue sticks and the action appearing on screen."

I hope this helps illuminate my original post.

That shit isn't even worth £5.

Say what??! Revelations is the best RE game since RE4!

It is indeed. but I still hated it xD

I'd get the $10 3DS version. The controls on the Wii U are terrible. Mainly because of the lack of gyro aiming, which was what made the 3DS version playable in my opinion.

Thanks for the information. I always wanted to know if the WiiU has gyro aiming (or IR-aiming) for this game. But I was too lazy to research, because I already played the 3DS version. Without gyro aiming the price is irrelevant for me. No gyro-aiming, no buy.

I thought it controlled terribly, the environments were horrid, and it really lacked the horror aesthetic that even RE4 had.

I really just want another traditional survival horror game. But we haven't had those since 2005 xD

Really? I thought it controlled just fine and I really liked how enemies were really hard to kill once again! Different strokes for different folks I guess!
