Even tho it's not a real indication of the sales, Sony is dominating june software/hardware on the American Amazon. I am wondering, how june NPD is going to look like.

Yes, on Amazon, PS4 is faring much better than XB1. I check it daily. However, Gamestop has had some kind of special deal going that has XB1 "flying off shelves." NPD will be a better indicator, yes.

The Gamestop thing while true, is a huge bottleneck for Xbox One sales...If Xbox One sales don't pick up at all major retailers and Amazon then Gamestop will help, but won't be enough.  And the Amazon thing is huge because the $399 PS4, to my knowledge, hasn't fallen off the 1st page of the Amazon Best Seller's list since the 2nd week in March.

PS4 has stayed around the top 10 for months. It is looking well on Amazon. XB1 Titanfall bundle has consistently been around 30 places behind PS4 for a long time. I hope Amazon continues to be a good indicator.

June wont be a real test, nor any month really (outside a couple here and there). The US market likes their champions and when one is on top early, it tends to stay there for a while, no matter what the competition is doing.

It does seem that way in America, but there are exceptions to most rules. Look how 3DS made a massive recovery after the price cut.

Against itself maybe but against the backdrop of the mobile world, its recovery is rather tame.

Don't think they'll have any problems securing June.

I hope you are right.

Titanfall failed on multiple levels. It failed to be the Call of Duty killer that it was hyped to be. It failed to set the kind of sales records many expected, and it failed to increase Xbox One's sales dramatically. PS4 still outsold it that month. Things have changed though. Microsoft may have it's first XB1 victory this year. Why? The price reduction to match PS4. That extra money they were charging for that fancy camera is gone, therein, XB1 drops the price barrier that kept some at bay. Now head to head, toe to toe, the real battle begins!

Even though I felt that Sony bombed at E3, I am still primarily a Sony gamer. I want PS4 to crush XB1, but there is a chance it will not now. Right now, XB1 has more game variety, the same price, and they had a more impressive E3 showing. PS4 has no fighting games or racing games that can compete with Forza. It is still early in the game, but I think from a gaming perspective only, XB1 is looking slightly better. However, there are blemishes that could keep PS4 on top.

The worst of those blemishes is the disasterous decision that made MS look really bad and uncool to Americans for the first time. I speak of when MS announced plans to make you connect to the internet to play even single player games and the horrid DRM they had planned. Next, is how they shifted focus away from games to be an overall media center. It didn't help that they forced Kinect on many people that didn't want it. To add insult to injury is that the Kinect was unbundled after MS stated that there would never be XB1 without Kinect, so people that bought the $500 model thought that they were getting a device that would be fully supported for the entire XB1 lifespan. In turn, MS offers no free games to those early buyers that were lied to. All of this has left a bad taste in some gamer's mouths. Word of mouth and reputation may kill the XB1's chance at recovering America.

Of course there are those that are faithful to the brand, as I am to Sony, plus those that want to keep their achievements in the next generation. Now the real battle for America begins. I don't think they have much hope in Europe or Japan, but they could take back America. Either way, this is an exciting console war! Thanks for reading.

How is it s "Real Test"? Even if x1 wins US sony easily wins WW and that is not even going to be threatened, but, X1 wontt even win June in the US. You are over estimating how 1 month effects the big picture. MS never won in march they won;t in June/.

Their real test is when Sunset Overdrive comes out.

LMAO no..that game has Niche written all over it. Halo collection is the test for US, WW there is no test

I don't think the $399 X1 did much at all. It's constantly ranked behind the PS4 in Amazon and Gamestop. Not only that, the white PS4 Destiny bundle is also significantly ahead of the X1.

That is nothing but PR, all things indicate at most retailers even in the US ps4 is winning.

See 360 vs Wii.

The real test started in Nov last year :-/

I don't think so. That extra $100 makes a big difference to some people.

So the battle with Wii vs X360+PS3 never came (cuz they were never close to the same price)? Its not Sony's Fault MS included Kinect bundled with every system.

i wasnt able to take any of what you said seriously after you said "Titanfall failed on multiple levels."

Well, it is not a flat out failure. It sold decently. Remember I said multiple levels, not that it was a complete failure. I mainly am basing my opinions on all the hype and what it was supposed to do.
