Granted, I might be wrong but MS has given me zero cause to think otherwise and they've yet to start knvesting in their first party so yea, I'm not too optimistic, especially if their 360 output the last 4 years is anything to go by |
If MS takes this same path we can all prepare for 40m sold max. They would be stupid to not invest in a few new IP's... The funny thing is they just might be that dumb!
| Seece said: Rare, Lionhead (new IP) Lift London, LXP, Leap, Turn 10, Good Science and Twisted Pixel should all be in attendance with new unannounced games, not even mentioning the third/second party and out sourcing Microsoft will do. I actually expect more new announcements next year, than the previous 2 E3's. |
Rare is not the studio they were but a smaller personal title, god I would still love to see that
Lionhead sure, Again not quite the studio they were
Lift is working on free to play games, not a bad thing in itself but four? Can't be AAA
LXP seems to work developing internal stuff a bit like XDEV for sony
Leap? Sorry don't ring a bell
Turn 10 can't reveal the new forza, we'll be waiting on the 2015 one
Good science, kinect
Twisted pixel, should be a good downloadable title
However this was not my point...
Buying order: Switch, better pc
Microsoft will have more games next year for sure. They'll be fine.
When I get exhausted I take a nap. I don't see why Microsoft can't do the same.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
Microsoft actually showed the most 2014 content during their event.

Their recent output is what I was forgetting, I guess I was being optimistic to wanting more for 2015 and hell even 2014, three big games a year and forza seems okay. But yeah your right, E3 2015 by your games list, can't show Halo 6, 5 isn't out yet, fable should be out so a new lionhead (and rare, downloadable) game is okay and can't show forza 7 if the next ones isn't out... |
E3 2015 they will show Halo 5, "reveal" Forza 6, show a teaser for Gears, gameplay for Scalebound, PD, and Crackdown, and show off a CGI trailer or two of games for 2017 which they will then show at E3 2016 along with a slew of multiplats.
It will be solid, but it leaves little to the imagination.
E3 2014 was strong as a Gamed conference but weak as an Xbox conference. Next year will likely be the same. If you don't intend on already getting an X1, e3 2015 won't change your mind unless you're planning on waiting till 2017

Since I love Forza and Horizon I would love that lineup. Also Crackdown 3 will come out in late 2015 and you are forgetting D4 which will come out next year. Plus they will add a few more new first party IP also. If Sunsets Overdrive sells pretty good I can see Insomniac Games making another exclusive game for the X1 which will probably come out somethime in after 2015.
This isn't last generation and microsoft find themselves in a losing position so they'll have to keep the stream of games flowing if they are to even stand a chance. This e3 was solid by all the big 3 but there was nothing spectacular. Next E3 should see both sony and microsoft stepping up and delivering.
