Because these are closed systems, not PCs.  They are not going to give you options on resolution.


GT5 and GT6 have an option to change between 720p/1080p. Of course, it doesn't change the framerate, except by improving drops in some areas.

Yep has nothing to do with PC, I just think maybe it's time to give players more choices now that the tech is so flexible. It would be laughably easy to implement. I know I would have loved to set titanfall at 720p in exchange for less freakish tearing.

Being exclusive doesn't mean developers mastered the hardware. Its clear X1 is something developers are still learning to work with.

Its funny, people are obviously ignoring the progress we've seen in a relatively short time just because its not parity.

Lastly, just about every game benefits from a higher frame rate. I can't think of a single game that left me feeling 30 fps is ideal.

Maybe PS fans think Destiny is Xbox One exclusive now

Devs can obvious get 1080p 60fps for this game. Their just lazy as fuck. How demanding can it be if it's in a goony artstyle?



I applaud insomniac to not listen to resolution whores on the 1080p/60fps... with the 10% of the new SDK they chose to up everything else (number of enemies effects etc...) which is the most important... res above a certain point is actually the least important and should be pushed only after the rest has been....

can't wait for SO in 900p/30fps and tons of fun to play with in a gorgeous non grey scaled environment for once... if you don't well it's your business...

I disagree.... I prefer SO artstyle... but that's complete taste

can't really compare both... the only way would be too know polygon counts on screen and texture res and number environemental effect (static and dynamic) etc etc etc...

bottom like res doesn't mean shit if your game is hugly... and I'd rather see more devs work on actual graphic content than res.... get me more effects, more AI, more dynamic lightning, extra particules before you start pushing for 1080p.... heck even push fps before you push 1080p.... tha's what I want... and everybody ON CONSOLE whining for 1080p/60fps are just ignorant idiots that are damaging the quality of the gaming market....

it's like if everybody were whining to have 3D movies regardless of quality of the content....
