If I can play it by myself offline and just explore very excited. If I have to play with other online and engage in combat I have zero interest.

I don't really get the point of the game. We get all these planets with animals and what not on them, but what do you have to do? What's the point?

I think it's online only but you can play without having to engage with other players. It sounds like they're going for a non-invasive but connected game (a bit like Journey, Watch Dogs and Demon's Souls). You also don't have to engage in combat, you can just run away from enemies or choose not to enter conflicts.

It'll be interesting to see how this turns out. It's incredibly ambitious for such a small team.

Does there have to be a point if you're enjoying the world/universe the devs have created? I know plenty of people who play sandbox games without ever touching the main story where their objectives at any one time are whatever they want them to be.

It's the first truly next gen game I've seen, so yes I'm excited lol.

Absolutely. But still, I'm afraid it is too ambitious for such a small team. I really hope they go into a incubation program to Sony Santa Monica Studio or Sony xDev Europe, where they could get all the necessary help and resources, and it would be done quicker.
Just watch any video of Yoshida during E3, this man is hyped like a little boy for this game, he would pour millions upon it. I hope it happens.

Nope, this game does absolutely NOTHING for me. I really don't see what the fuss is about.

I'm not really sure what kind of gameplay it'll have. Is it some sort of elite style space trading game in a spectacular infinite universe? I want it to be great but I'm worried I'll find it get very boring very fast.
