Most of the games mentioned weren't real STARFOX games they were games with STARFOX in em...there's only been 2 real STARFOX games as far as I'm concerned (I don't rate the NAMCO GC game)...
I think it could sell well on wii u if it's a 'proper' star fox game...but by 'well' I mean 1.5 to 2 million.
People don't buy good games anymore so a STARFOX game 'bombing' is kind of a given unless they who're it up to make it appeal to the 'kids' of today

Don't understand all of the negativity on here. A starfox hasn't been made in years and a lot of fans have been asking for it. If done right, the game will have a good chance of eclipsing a million, especially if the install base of the Wii U increased by the time the game is released. JMO though.

I think the market is hungry for a spaceship game -note the great reactions to both this and No Man's Sky - and as such I think this project will be a success. But it probably won't be a traditional title, so sales projections are futile. Miyamoto has implied the title may be episodic.

Nintendo reveal an early prototype, and threads like this appear? The game doesn't even have a full developer yet, the format in which it will make it to market hasn't been decided yet, even things like art design and aesthetics aren't set on yet.

I think it might. I hope they don't make it designed just for the Wii U gamepad like the prototype. If they do it's done for. Incorporate the gamepad not make it required.
