once psnow give instance access to your game while downloading the game in the background digital will go through the roof.

CEA said that 12 percent of consumers said their primary gaming device is a smartphone, and 9 percent said tablet,

Exctly, consumers, not gamers... even after so many years I can count AAA tablet/phone games on one hand. The AAA tablet boom will not happen, as many predicted, for that there will allways be a solid core instalbase

OT: nice attach rate. But it was expected. I think the boost was similar to the curent gen handhelds too, probbaly even larger.

i think some changes have to be made before they go full digital.

the prices have to be revised.
they have to make possible trading digital games
upgrade for yearly games.

lulz, just lulz.

I wonder how mad people will be if one day their console randomly dies and they have to redownload all their games/dlc/etc again on a new console they purchased. I'm talking like.. 500+ GB total size.

well since two broskis can buy one game and share it on ps4, paying half price for games, it should be higher.

Thanks jlmurph!

I've disconnected my disc drive in my PC. It's never seen any use. I'd go all digital for consoles if the prices were nearly as low as they are on PC. Don't care for changing a disc, going to a store or waiting 2 days for shipping.

Not as mad as someone who's console and physical games get stolen/broken.

likely last gen of physical media.
cant say ill be sad to let it go.

logical early adopters are hardcore gamers, they don't wanna go to the store and have contact with people irl... and as result you get the higher digital rate.
the casual games on the 80 million plus userbases lower that figure immensly. this aint even a proper way to compare them ....

Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I guess XOne owners would be upset much more, because PS4 will let you take out the hard drive and put it in a new console.
